*L*,, the pie war is later today,, after we head to the hotel,, we plan on being there about 1:00 this afternoon,, .
So pooor fair,, she has had us all at her house!,, ,,being the hostess with the mostest,,**pies that is**,, she has about 130 pie tins last nite to make whipped cream pies,,, *** I just KNOW we are getting kicked outta the Hilton**,, well fair and LAdyE are busy in the kitchen,, and I'm about to head for more coffee,,, Old Romantic just woke,,, and Rider is still sleeping,, I should go wake him soon ,,since Josie is due to be walking in the door any second,, and Michigan left a message she is on her way,,.stopping at a football game then heading right to the hotel,,, .

We all went out to eat last nite,, Miss Pammie took us *BAS*,,, and well this place let us all in even though they had Buckets of peanuts on the table,,, needless to say,, they were flying thru the whole dinner,,, dinner was a blast,,, and none of us took our camera's,, but tonite,, everyone has cameras ready,,, pies being made,, food being cooked,,* not by me**L*,,, and plans being made,,

Day 2 Lady E arrived!!!!!!! *BAS* Lady E and her hubby showed up FINALLY after their trip from hell! They were due in the night before, but got stuck in Washington D.C. overnight. I'll let her tell that story though! The rest of the day was relatively uneventful, the ladies all spent the better part of the day shopping, most of the guys sat around comparing toys (laptops, etc...) *LOL*, I had two boys that had been "storing energy" for two days cooped up in the car and needed to burn it off. Rather than jeopardize fair maiden's house, I took them to a park nearby and unleashed them on Mother Nature!! *LOL*

TeDdY BeAr, cookiemaker arrived and some gifts were exchanged (gifts bought for Christmas last year and finally delivered), and the IRL "chatting" commenced! It never ceases to amaze me how we can meet total strangers and feel like we have known each other for years, just like family! Behold the power of chat! Needless to say, the evening ended with a large family dinner at a local restaurant (with large barrels of peanuts everywhere), now take into account a long history of cyber-food fights in Joe's and it's not hard to imagine what happened next! Let the peanuts fly!!!!! *LOL*

I (ß~1~ßõbú/Rider) was awakened by Josie hovering over my bed saying, BITE ME!!! *LOL* Now I am on my second cup of coffee and the kitchen is buzzing and everyone is starting to talk about getting checked in at the hotel! Yes, all of this to this point has been happening at fair maiden's house!! *LOL* I don't think her neighbors will ever recover!! *LOL*

Chris and I got here this morning to find a pie crust box by the front door, talk about cringing. *LMAO* It's kinda crazy around here right now with all of us in the kitchen at one time cooking.

I woke B-1 up whether he liked it or not. *LOL* Then I went and woke up Mater. Talk about a welcome. *S*

Despite being responsible for the Turkey (still frozen Wed noon) and having a flat tire in a State that doesn't know "HURRY!!!" I arrive in Charlotte with relatively few problems. My traveling companion (BaBy BeAr) managed to entertain me with either her renditions of popular songs or by just snoring to the beat. *L* We did make the 6 1/2 hour trek... in 8 hours.. and arrived late Wednesday night with everything in tact and a thawed turkey... *S* You should have seen the looks I got driving with a turkey tied with a bungee cord to the back of my pick up doing 80 down I-85.. *L* For those of you who couldn't make it... you have been mentioned... and your presence is missed. For those of you still en route... GET HERE!!!! *S*

Well, we just finished dinner and it was great!! Our Events coordinator extraordinaire, Miss Maiden put on one helluva spread! After dinner however the desserts weren't eaten, they were FLYING!!! In true Joe's Diner food fight fashion, we had a showdown between the Queen B*tch (cookiemaker) and her heir apparent (Texas Storm) - all instigated by Old Romantic, who as you will see in the pics to come, got the worst end of the deal!
Film at 11!! *LOL*
The night is still young, it's only 7pm, so there will no doubt be follow-up reports to come as well!!
P.S. The "official" Joe's Diner Pie Fight has been postponed until tomorrow. More on that tomorrow and Film at 11!!! *LOL*

Ok....*big sigh*
First fair's version....
I'm minding my own business.....thinking how good E's looks inRomy's hat when I snag it off her head & bolt in a dead run...while looking over my shoulder snickering out loud to her about her hat hair....*dramatic pause* sigh* The next thing I know...I'm diving around a corner eluding in my 007 fashion when I learn that she's after me but now has been seriously injured.....due to that sharp turn around the corner.*me thinking all the while this is a clever ploy to get the hat back...I reluctantly go to the kitchen where she is dousing her hand under the under cold water.*Well much my surprise once I really checked it out...she was injured... & in a flash we were on the way to the emergency room... But of course I did manage to come to the rescue and for ONCE find my cars keys in lickty split time .Oh what a sight that was.....All in all.....she'll live and still loves me due to my charm and jokes along the way *BAS* Thank god!!

Ok...this is my side of the story....and now here's E's...
Lady E's response: Alas....much to my chagrin, *sigh* there I was MINDING my own business, secretly plotting how I would connive Romy out of his hat by offering him cash, because it looked sooooo Good on me. When all of a sudden, whoosh...it was gone with the maiden *L*(snagging it off my head....with evil intentions) I commenced in hot pursuit, prancing around the corner in Lady E fashion, I inadvertently ran into a corner smashing my hand *OUCH* *thinking thank god I have insurance* I preceded to cry anyway (for effect) BOO HOO!!!!! Feeling guilty the maiden was compelledto drive me to the hospital, where I was diagnosed as having a serious booboo. No broken bones, yet charmed by him as he kissed me on the hand and said...carry on...you can still drink. Bless you my child. *LOL* Through all this pain I have realized that this pain and blood..(special note: maiden passes out in er) a special bonding has been made, as she found my medical card before my husband...and witnessed the shot in the @ss. *snort...giggle* The End...bills and law suit to follow

Last note of reference: fair has graciously offered to type this since my hand is in a splint. Although...her middle finger works just fine!

Okay, Chris and I are home safe and we have missed "The Pie War". *ggls*The great event was postponed yet again due to weather conditions. I am sure they had a wonderful time throwing those pies around. *LMAO*

Let's see.......where do I begin???? *ggls* I read what I wrote in the IRL guestbook and could not believe it and then was told about my post in the forum. *embarrassed* I will never drink Vodka shots again and put anything in writing or type. *LMAOH*

Before miss Cookiemaker left, there was a pie war in the parking lot from pies she had stashed in her car. That Storm Bitch *cringing from the thought of another smack* really got pied as did B~1, Teddy, Mater, Joe, and I think a few others. All the while a cake fight was happening in the foyer of the parlor room as Pammie, Chris and I were in the other room behaving ourselves in the angelic fashion. *heavenly smiles*

Poor Sharon ended up taking three showers in one day cuz of all the happenings. Cookie is a RIOT and IS the one with the darkest tan so when she posts this in the diner, ya damn well better believe it. *BAS*

Friday we are all just taking it easy and relaxing. A few go shopping, a few go to the store, a few needed more sleep as the rest of us just watched some tv and talked. I get up to get something from my suitcase *brain fart* as I look up and am totally surprised. I just say loudly, Terry!!!!!! Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhi......Fireman is here!!!". I immediately hug his neck tight and am so glad to see him again. *VVVBAS*

Immediately the phoning of the other rooms began to let all know he was here. We sat around chatting IRL fashion and decided to go to dinner at Fat Tuesday's. Our waiter was a very nice young man named Phu. Much to our surprise he has a homepage and several of us got the addy. *S*

We all had a wonderful dinner and went back to the hotel. Along the way Lioness lingers back while mumbling something about Wufman. We all just keep watching him in front as we walk. They were having a wedding reception at the hotel that night and had a rendition of a disco light. When Wufman gets to the window he starts dancing like a maniac and we all lose it. *LMAOH*

We go back to the parlor room and a few disperse doing other things. Miss Maiden had to take that good looking Romy back to the house for a few things and I don't quite remember what happened to the others. *ggls* I told Teddy I was going to lay down for a while but to let everyone know to party on. *Chris and I were sleeping in the parlor room*

I was awakened trying to figure out what was between my toes. As if I didn't know that Romy got me. I had redi whip in my hand, my face, the back of my arm and between my toes. There were pics taken and a sign either placed beside me or on me.........*shrugs*.....I dunno. I was told that everyone was hovering around me with cameras taking pics and I supposedly sat straight up in the bed. Everyone was in position to hide EXCEPT Miss Maiden, she had to dive in 007 fashion so I wouldn't see her. Only thing is, I wasn't awake, I laid right back down asleep. *reminder, this is what I was told*

A few thought I was going to be pi$$ed at what happened, but not me. I laughed about the whole thing and got Romy back but it's only the beginning baby. *evil ggls* I will have revenge Josie'. style in my own time. hehehe

Needless to say, after that Romy, Miss Maiden and I stayed up the rest of the night. *note...I may have had two hours sleep if lucky* We decided to get everyone up and 10 of us went to breakfast together. *S*

Ya know, I really could go on and on about the past few days but I don't want Mr. Daemon to get upset for me writing too much at once. *hangs head in shame for taking so long to write* Maybe I can add a lil to this later as I read what others post. Mr. Daemon please don't be upset with me for having such a long post. Other than B~1, I have never met any of these people before with the exception of Fireman showing up. Again, please don't get angry at me. *tear filled sad puppy dog eyes*

We will be talking about this NetGiving for weeks, months and even years to come. *VBAS* All I know is I had an absolute wonderful time and must give my husband credit for being such a good sport!!! *evil glgls* Nuff said on that for now. hehehehehe

I met Paradise as well on this trip and HAVE to say she is NOTHING of what I pictured her to be. *ggls*

I pictured this woman at being about 45 to 50 years old, short dark permed hair with big framed glasses and professionally dressed all the time. *Ducking fast*

Man was I WRONG!!!!! *L* Para is a very nice looking woman with long sandy blonde hair and was dressed in jeans. She was so laid back and relaxed. That is of course except when I screamed. *Cringing while remembering* That's another story which will be kept between those who were present. It WAS an accident and I know it. *Hugs*

I love ya Para and so glad I finally got to meet you IRL!!!! I can hardly wait for the chance to spend more time with you. Just save the rude awakenings for someone else. *ggls* There was just so many good times there it would take a few hours to type it all and I don't think I could even tell all then. *L*

Me and my bestest IRL friend Mislet went to the Detroit Lions Thanksgiving game *BAS* and watched them spank the Bears... barely *L* then drove out of Pontiac and headed directly for Charlotte... we arrived right on schedule with coffee in hand at 7 am friday morning. Once checked in we called upstairs and woke fair maiden *L* she met us at the elevators and scared me; I almost wore the coffee we brought her and TX... then I got my hug. *G* we then headed on to wake the b*tch herself...Texas Storm... I greeted her with a lil pressy.. *G* something I knew she needed.. I presented her with a new halo *S* REALLY I did... you'll see... *L* ummm.. then Romy, had to give him head rubbs *ggls* ermm.. then we got EVERYONE up so I could meet them all... and wonder what the hell am I doing here??? *teasing* then all the overhung chatters went for naps and we went to bed... *L* That afternoon and night was great... spent time with everyone...*BAS* The entire weekend was great!! I had a super time.... *running down the hallway* with B~1, watching Mislet and Romy fight over a can of cool whip, fighting with TX over a can and then getting her son *L* but THEY started it!!! *pout* *L* playing 007 camera tag with Fair, plotting with Romy and watching him get Jos in her sleep... I "pleasantly surprised" Pammie *LOL*, and of course chatted with everyone... signed Lady Es brace she got from some nice doc the previous night... *L* & TeDdY sure can dive behind a couch in a quick like manner *LMAO*... there were so many things, I just can't go on... *L* I'll just say... READ THE BOOK.. ermm.. or go to the page when it's done.. *G* But I knew I had the right hotel upon arrival... *LMAO* there were empty pie tins in the parking lot *L* Most of all... I want to say thank you... As the Netgiving week draws to a close, Rick and I kick back at the Greensboro Airport hotel to await an early flight in the morning. JJ & Chad are tucked in and sleeping like angels in the next room (yeah sure) with visions of whipped cream, flying cakes & silly string dancing in their heads...*S* God I hate to leave, we ALL hate to go *wiping a tear* (fair maiden, that tear was for you)..and yes, I did cry when you pulled away and I headed for our new room..*S* speaking of rooms, *looking around this room....hmph!..nice place, but it cant hold a candle to the VIP Wing at the Charlotte Hilton...Good job fair, for choosing a really classy and elegant place for our Netgiving feast and weekend.

Just telling Rick I have a little case of writer's block right now, I prod him for some material to share. He is pretty sure I must have used up all of my klutziness by now..*BAS* Anyway we wont go into that (thanking God there were no pics taken during my ballet debut and *ahem* tub episode).

It was a great time, meeting some older friends again, and meeting some not-so-old-friends for the first time, and its always and adventure finally putting faces with the Handles of those I've met in Joe's. The event was full of our friends and families..exchanging REAL *hugs & kotc's* instead of just typing them on our screens, lots of talking (along with a few of those pesty *nones*)...well you have to breathe SOMETIME! *S* Lots of great food and drink, cameras flashing, good music..and just *US ALL* what more could anybody want?

Well it is getting late, we have to be up at the crack of dawn to fly home, so Im going to say Nighty Night for now..I will probably have to post this to the Chat Daemon tomorrow after we get home because I cant get thru for a *&^%%$$#$#$# internet connection from here...OOPS! *sweet smile*...no profanity allowed in here *giggle snort giggle*

Well Well Well.........everyone is gone now except for Romy, and the place seems mighty darn quiet around here........But HEY.........I have an IDEA?!!!!!!!! Let's all do it again!? whatdoyathink? *LMAO*

To any chatters who are ever thinking of attending a gathering, all I can say is DO IT! Sure you might be scared....Sure you might wonder if you are nuts for going out on a limb to meet someone in real life....but honestly......it's worth the chance! Memories, and laughs, tears, and pranks.....awwwwwww what a week!!

I have bonded again with those I've known for years, and met many who I've only recently become acquainted with. We (the netgivingers) will always have this in common.....it's a tie that we will always share, and no matter how much we try to explain and show you what we did and how much fun we had, it will only be a shadow of the real thing! And I hope everyone that came had a good time, and will remember all the fun times and the memories we shared forever.
