"Hey, how was work?" Kayla asked when Taylor walked into the caravan on Monday evening.
"It was ok... Ike is my boss.." Taylor groaned and flopped backwards onto the bed next to Kayla. Kayla laughed.
"I thought you knew that" She said. Taylor looked up at her and shook his head.
"No... I didn't. God, I just know this is going to drive me crazy"
"You'll get over it" Kayla said. "Jessica's met a new boy" Kayla said. Taylor sat up.
"What?"
"She's not dating him or anything... I'm not even sure if she wants anything to do with him, but he walked her home today... I was in the front yard when she got home... She told me is name is Coldan Evans or something like that. He seemed really nice though" Kayla said. Taylor shook his head.
"Jess is gonna keep away from him. I don't care how nice he is, Jess is not going near another boy for a long time, not after what happened to her" Taylor said.
"Taylor! how could you say that? you're not her father! Weren't you just listening to me? I said that she's not sure if she even wants anything to do with him! You can't make decisions for her life" Kayla exclaimed. Taylor shrugged.
"I don't care that I'm not her father.. I'm her older brother and that's just as good! Dad doesn't know what happened to her so he's gonna think that her seeing this boy is a new thing.. but I know what guy's are like! They'll get into a girls pants whenever they get the chance!"
"Oh, really?" Kayla raised an eyebrow. Taylor thought about what he had just said and his eye's went wide.
"No! I don't mean me! there are some decent guys out there... and I happen to be one of them" Taylor said, trying to save himself.
"How do you know this guy Jess just met isn't one of the "decent" guys huh?"
"Well, how do you know?" Taylor shot back. Kayla just shook her head.
"Hey Jaymi?... you all right?" Carly asked her step-sister as Jaymi emerged from the bathroom. Jaymi nodded.
"The joy's of being pregnant." She said. Carly screwed up her nose and followed Jaymi downstairs.
"I'm never gonna have kids" She said. Jaymi laughed.
"I thought the exact same thing as you when I was your age." She started as she put a hand on her stomach. "You'll change your mind"
"Are you gonna move in with Ike once the baby's born?" Carly asked. Jaymi nodded.
"Yeah, I'm hoping he asks me to marry him soon... if not, I'll just have to do it myself" Jaymi said, smiling. She stopped smiling once she saw Carly's upset expression. "Hey... what's wrong?"
"Well, first Kayla left and now you're gonna be going.... I've only just gotten used to Kayla not living here anymore. And also, you will be leaving me with Ben of all people!"
"I heard that" Ben said as he walked into the kitchen. Jaymi was pleased to see that he had his backpack with him, meaning he had been at school.
"How was school Ben?" Jaymi asked. Ben shrugged.
"Ok... I passed that Math test" He said. He then walked out of the kitchen and up to his room.
"He and Melissa are having a fight" Carly told Jaymi
"How do you know?"
"I heard him talking to Dad last night"
"So you were eavesdropping?"
"No... well... yeah, I guess I was" Carly said, sounding guilty. Jaymi laughed.
"Don't worry..." She said, "I was to"
"I thought you'd never get here. What took you so long?" Zac demanded as Amy came running up to him.
"Well, unlike you, I have school to go to, therefore I don't have all the damn time in the world" Amy snapped. Zac had quit getting home schooled by his parents and he refused to go to a normal school.
"Calm down... so what are we gonna do?" Zac asked. Amy shook her head.
"Nothing... my mom's waiting in the car... I just came to tell you that" Amy said.
"So you're ditching me"
"Yep... see you later" Amy said. She then turned and ran off, leaving Zac standing alone in the mall.
"God damn bitch" Zac said, referring to Amy's mother. He started to walk around the mall, bored out of his brain when he spotted her again. C.J. "C.J" Zac said softly. She had her back to him but he knew it was her. He had seen her a lot since the first time he had spotted her when he was with Amy, but he had never had the chance to go to her, she had always disappeared. This time, she was looking at something in a window and Zac didn't take his eye's off of her as he walked towards her. He was standing behind her, psyching himself up to turn her around when he caught her eye in the glass. C.J whirled around, a stunned look on her face. "It is you" Zac said.
