After installing my leather seats the same as the above article, I took them out and came very close to selling them. They were too tall, and not comfortable. I am only 5'8" and my head touched the ceiling. It dawned on me that the seat tracks might be interchangeable. I was able to put my Fiero seat tracks on the bottom of my Trans-Am seats. This fixed all of my height related problems. I have lost the rocking feature of the original tracks, but that is ok. I moved the bolster compressor to the firewall, as there was no longer any room under the seat for it.
I don't particularly like this radio, and I am going back to my single din CD player until I can find a decently priced 1.5 din CD unit. Possibly an AC/Delco unit out of a newer car.
