Okay, this is a no-brainer to any female who's read any Anita Blake, but after my introduction in Laughing Corpse, I've got four words for you: Allhail Jean Claude!! *kneels, drools, worships her ultimate fantasy master* Hetruly is a walking, talking, not-so-living dream guy. Gorgeous, powerful (and no, that
has nothing to do with his stature as Master of the City), exotic, beautiful, seductive, irresistible.. did I neglect to mention gorgeous? The question
that kept coming to my mind is WHY ON EARTH DOES ANITA KEEP REJECTING HIM???? I would probably die of ecstasy if Jean Claude fell for me like he'sfallen
for her! He's exactly the kind of man who, without any effortwhatsoever, arouses all of those hidden, forbidden passions that we supposedlyaren't
supposed to have. In Jean Claude's world, modesty is not a virtue,it's a hypocritical load of crap that stems from generations of social preconditioning meant to imprison and suppress the natural impulses ofa truly
passionate spirit. His utter lack of shame or even
inhibitioneliminates just enough of our guilt to set us free without ruining the seduction of a forbidden affair. Now why couldn't I marry a man like that? *ahem* Okay, this is supposed to be a "professional" review, so I'll shut up about Jean Claude now. The voodoo witch was very elegantly disgusting, horrifying
enough to be a truly dispicable villain, the kind that is so rarelyseen in horror fiction anymore. My only critique would be that some of her characters, especially villains and sidekicks--check her partner at Animators, Inc.--aren't really made very three-dimensional. They're almost stock characters, but she uses them in such a way that they don't seem likestock
characters in the plot, and you don't realize that they are until after you've read it and you're trying to write a review. *L* Then again, storieslike this
are usually intended to be more of a fun horror read than a darkliterary one, so stock characters are allowed. Her words flow very smoothly, and the
reading is fast enough that you feel the action right along with the characters, but not so fast that you feel like you're struggling to catch up. Overall, I loved Laughing Corpse, and I wanna read more!!

Whelp, this is my review of Ms. Hamiliton's newest book
of the Anita Blake series. Blue Moon. Since sis dear (that would be me, Diana)
has told me not to reveal too much, so I will try as
much as I can not to reveal too much. The all great,
No.#1 character Jean Claude unfortunately takes a
backseat in this story *Cries his eyes out*. Plus we
see more of Anita Blake becoming more and more of what
she hates. AND SHE DOESN'T EVEN REALIZE IT, it seems
this time is like Bloody Bones, back to nature sort of
theme. Plus Anita sort of gets what she deserves, I
mean she's kick ass and all, but the thing I hate the
most about her is that she has to be right all the
time. Even when she is wrong she won't admit it most
of the time, and she is hypocritcal as all hell, so I
am a little pleased about some of the things she gets
in this book cause if you ask me she deserves it.
Anyhoo I have mixed feelings about this book. Part of
me is saying it's one of her best works yet, the other
thinks it leaves a lot to be desired, while all of me
thinks you would be utterly STOOPID to not read it.
I'm RAVEN, that was my review thank you and happy hunny bunnies to you all.
