Six Ingredients Taco Salad

  1              pound  lean ground beef
  1 1/4         ounces  taco seasoning mix
                        shredded lettuce
                        grated Cheddar cheese
                        chopped tomatoes
                        salsa -- or Thousand Island dressing
                        Corn chips
                        sour cream
                        avocado


Brown ground beef; drain. Add seasoning mix and amount of water called
for on package. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered, 15
to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until liquid is absorbed. Place
shredded lettuce in salad bowl; top with ground beef, cheese, tomatoes
and sauce. Optional but good is letting diners choose corn chips, sour
cream and cubed or sliced avocado to garnish their salad. Some people
like to add black olives too.
