Time Long Past-Chapter 15

By: Panda Angel

*Kelly*

I didn’t sleep well that night at all. I was so excited and nervous about my wedding the next day. We woke up very early the next morning so that we could be ready. We all ate breakfast together and then drove to the church to get ready. We had a professional hair stylist and make-up artist come in to get us ready. The stylist, her name was Ginger, curled my long, sunny blonde hair so that it gently curled around my face and cascaded across my shoulders. “How’s it look?” she asked, turning me around to face the mirror.
I peered into the mirror lining the wall and examined it. “It looks beautiful! Thank you so much!” I said pleased.
There was a loud knock at the door.
“Kelly?? Babe? I need my shaving cream,” AJ’s deep voice called while he cracked open the door.
“AJ, get out of here! It’s bad luck to see the bride before the wedding!” his mom, Denise intervened shooing him out of the room.
“But, Mom…” he whined.
“No buts, Alexander James! Out! Here, take your shaving cream, and go on,” she said shoving the shaving cream in his hand and gently forcing him out of the door.
After that incident was over, it was time for me to put on my wedding dress. It was a lot simpler than Theresa’s dress. My dress was more modern: simple and elegant. AJ’s mom walked over and stared at me adoringly.
“You’re precious, just precious,” she sighed, clutching a box to her heart.
I smiled timidly and glanced at my reflection in the mirror.
“Kelly, may I talk to you for a moment?” Denise asked seriously, staring into my blue eyes.
“Yeah, of course. What is it?” I confirmed, sitting down beside of her.
“I just want you to take care of my baby,” she said, as tears formed in her eyes.
“Of course I will. I love AJ with all of my heart and soul. I’ll take very good care of him,” I reassured her.
“I know you will. I’m so glad he’s marrying a sweet girl like you! Here…I want you to have these,” she said, handing me the small box she had been clenching so tightly.
I looked at her and then at the box. I opened it up and found the loviest pair of earrings I had ever seen.
“I want you to have these. AJ’s grandmother gave them to my mother. She then gave them to me. Since I never had a daughter of my own, I’d loke for you to have them,” she explained thoughtfully.
“Aww…thank you!” I smiled sweetly, putting them in for my wedding. I leaned across my seat to give her a hug.
“You’re welcome. Now come on, the wedding is going to start soon. Let’s finish getting you ready,” Denise said, helping me up. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *Gail*

“Ugh!! Can someone help me puleeze?!” I whined, trying my best to get my zipper unstuck.
“Mmmm…maybe. Let me see,” Vic walked over to help me.
“Thanks so much,” I said, letting out a sigh of relief.
“Actually, sorry, can’t get it. Maybe loverboy of yours can…” she suggested turning to walk away.
“Vic come on. I really don’t wanna walk over into the guys’ room. Please,” I pleaded. She just silently shook her head and pointed to the door.
I gently knocked on the door of the guys’ room and then pushed it open with my hand covering my eyes, in case they weren’t all “decent.”
“Ow man!” I heard a yell and then a thud on the ground. “Nick, go handle your woman!” I immediately recognized AJ’s voice.
“Gail, what are you doing out here?” Nick came out, shutting the door behind him.
“Oooh…sorry AJ!” I yelled into the closed door and then turned to Nick. “I need your help,” I pleaded with my best puppy dog eyes.
“What is it?” he asked, placing his arms on my shoulders.
“Can you get my zipper unstuck?” I pleaded turning around so he could see my bare back.
“Yeah, sure,” he grinned slightly as I felt his warm hand glide across my back. “There ya go!”
“Thanks hon! Well, I gotta go get ready!” I gave him a quick peck on the cheek and turned to go. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *Claudi*

I was getting my make-up done when there was another knock on the door.
“Goodness, who is it now?!” Denise hustled over to the door, to find Brian stading there.
“Hey Denise! Can I see Claudi for a sec?” he asked, peeping over her shoulder to see me sitting in a chair.
“Yes, go right ahead. Anyone else??” she joked, closing the door.
“Hey babe!” he walked over and kissed me on the cheek.
“Hey honey. What is it?” I asked, getting up from the chair.
“Well, I can’t get my hair to do right. It’s doing something weird,” he pouted, almost in a whine. “Will you fix it? Nobody can do it like you,” he begged.
“Yeah, come on…” I said, walking over grabbing my spritz bottle, some mousse, and a comb. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *Vic*

Finally, it was almost time for the biggest moment in Kelly and Theresa’s lives. We were all standing there looking our best possible. The guys all looked very suave and sexy in their tuxes. Nick and Gail were at the beginning of our little line. Nick was squirming in his tux and waiting impatiently for the music to play.
He tugged on his tie and complained, “Man, why couldn’t we just wear jerseys??”
“Yeah, Frack, I feel ya!” Brian agreed, standing behind him, arm in arm with Claudi. She gently nudged him in the ribs and gave him a ‘be quiet or else’ look.
“You look really nice,” Kevin whispered in my ear.
“Thanks, so do you, handsome,” I grinned, kissing him on the lips.
“Oh I’m so nervous!!!” Theresa’s voice interrupted us. We all turned to look at her pacing the floor. Kelly was standing there, very calm and anxious.
“Theresa, calm down. Everything’s going to be fine,” I reassured her.
“Yeah, Howie will take good care of you. He loves you more than anything else in the world,” Kevin commented.
“I know, I know…I’m fine. I’m not worried about that…just oh nevermind. I’ll be fine,” she said, closing her eyes, taking a deep breath. Finally, the music started, the doors opened, and we all slowly marched down the aisle to see AJ and Howie anxioulsy awaiting the arrival of their brides. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *Theresa*

My heart was racing, my temples were throbbing, and I was very much torn between excited and nervous. The church was completely filled with friends and family of each of the Backstreet Boys and us. The familiar sound of the wedding march filled my ears, calming my panic. I looked at Kelly who compared to me, appeared very calm and relaxed.
“You ready?” I whispered to her, squeezing her hand.
“Yes, I am. I’ve never been more ready for anything else in my life,” she smiled.
We marched slowly down the aisle, side by side, with our bouquets of flowers, as everyone stood in their seat. I spotted Howie and AJ both waiting at the alter. After what seemed like an eternity, Kelly and I arrived by our soon-to-be-husbands.
“You look beautiful,” Howie whispered to me as we stood side by side.
“Wow babe! You look gorgeous!” I heard AJ exclaim, rather loudly.
Kelly shooshed him my placing her finger gently over his lips.
“We are gathered here today to joing these lovely people in holy matrimony,” the preacher began. Before we knew it, we were exchanging rings.
“Now, repeat after me,” the preacher said, holding his Bible as Howie placed a beautiful gold band, encrusted with diamonds onto my finger.
“With this ring, as a sign of my love and affection, I Howie, take thee Theresa to be my lawful wedded wife,” he said, his chestnut colored eyes sparkling.
Then AJ said the same to Kelly, while we heard Denise crying in the church pew. He slipped a silver ring with dolphins encircling the band onto her finger to match her silver engagement ring.
“Aww…AJ it’s perfect,” Kelly exclaimed, as they joined hands.
The preacher continued, “By the powers invested in me by the state of Florida, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.”
Each of our husbands lifted our veils and we kissed for the first time as man and wife.
