"You drive me crazy. I just can't sleep. I'm so excited, I'm in too deep. Whoa, crazy. But it feels alright. Baby thinking of you keeps me up all night," Ananda sang as You Drive Me Crazy by Britney Spears blasted out of her speakers. She walked to her mirror and was about to fix her makeup when she saw Brian's reflection in the door behind her. "Hey B-Rok."
"Hey Panda Bear." Brian walked in and turned down the volume on her CD player.
"Bri-aaaan..." Ananda whined.
"Hey, just give me a second here. I gotta talk to you." Brian sat down in his little sister's posh recliner. "Do you need a ride to school?"
"No, Stacy's picking me up." Ananda leaned closer to the mirror and swept mascara on her lashes.
"Who's Stacy?"
"My friend."
Brian nodded. "Oh."
"So what did you need to talk about?" Ananda asked, rooting through her lipstick until she found one marked 'Stone.'
"Well, you know how yesterday Leighanne said... isn't that lipstick a little dark?"
"Brian Littrell," Ananda said in a warning tone.
"Sorry. Anyway she said there were some kids smoking pot back there and then you started acting all nervous... did you know what was going on?"
Ananda shook her head quickly. "Nope. No idea."
"You sure Panda Bear?"
Ananda turned off her CD player, grabbed her backpack, and gave her brother a kiss on the cheek. "I'm sure. See ya."
Before Brian knew it, Ananda was downstairs and out the door. Brian followed. His sister was acting strange and he intended to find out just what was going on.
Leighanne walked through the door with a worried look on her face. "Bri? Who's taking Ananda to school?"
Brian gave his girlfriend a kiss good morning. "Some girl named Stacy... why?"
"Because," Leighanne answered. "That girl looks just like one of the girls I saw at the court yesterday."
