"Are you almost there?!" Brian whined, leaning forward in his seat. Kevin rolled his eyes from the driver's seat.
"Yes Brian" he growled. *Ok, anyone else thinking of a little boy and his dad in the car? Yeah me too*
Brian sat back and sighed. Nick was sitting next to him, and was just as impatient. They hadn't seen their girlfriends for 6 months. Brian talked to Laney on the phone almost every night, but it only made him miss her more. Nick did the same with KC. The Boys were on tour until the week before, so there was no way to see KC and Laney. The girls were unable to take enough time from school to tour with them.
Five minutes later, Kevin drove the car into Laney's new driveway. Nick and Brian smiled at each other and unbuckled their seatbelts. Then ran up the driveway. The door opened and Laney came running out of the house. She squealed and ran to Brian. He opened his arms and Laney wrapped hers around him. He held her tightly, not wanting to let her go. Laney was crying.
"I missed you soooo much!" she cried. Brian closed his eyes, relieved to be holding her in his arms again.
KC came running out of the house only seconds after Laney. She flung her arms around Nick's neck and kissed him.
"You'd better have kept your eyes off all those girls Nick" KC replied after they parted. Nick chuckled.
"I pictured you the whole time" he said, smiling. KC hit his arm and groaned.
AJ was standing in the driveway, looking at the ground. He really didn't want to be there. Especially since he knew Ashley was there. They broke up a month before. She said she had met someone else. Ashley came out of the house alone. She saw AJ and bit her lip. She walked over to him.
"Hi AJ!" she exclaimed. AJ looked up and he closed his eyes. Ashley put her hand on his arm.
"I broke up with Matt" she said. AJ opened his eyes, but his expression hadn't changed.
"What's your point?" he said coldly. Ashley's face filled with pain.
"I just thought you'd like to know" she said quietly. AJ glared at her.
"Well I didn't. Now if you'll excuse me, I wanna talk to your friends" he snarled. Then he walekd up the driveway. Ashley walked as he hugged KC and Laney, actually flirting with them in front of Nick and Brian. They didn't seem to notice too much. Why did I let him go?
Ashley was the last in the house. None of the guys said a word to her since they came. They could only stay for a few hours, because the next stop was Mary's house. Kevin and her had hooked up over that week at the lodge and had kept in touch.
Nick and KC were snuggling on the couch.
"So how much did you miss me Nick?" KC asked, smiling up at him. Nick laughed.
"Too much" he said. KC made a puppy-dog face.
"Are you sure you guys can't stay longer?" she asked. Nick frowned at her and shook his head.
"I don't think so. Kev really wants to see Mary. You know how that feels" he said. KC nodded.
Laney decided this was as good of a time as any to tell Brian the good news.
"Brian? I have a surprise for you!" she exclaimed, taking his hand. Brian smiled and squeezed her hand.
"You do? Spill baby!" he said. Laney smiled at him.
"I got accepted to the University of BC!" she exclaimed. Brian's face lit up and he gave her a big hug.
"That's great! Just stay away from those frat guys!" he exclaimed. Laney laughed.
"I don't think there are any fraternities there" she said. Brian smiled.
"That's a plus!" he cried. Laney giggled. They settled down on the couch and watched TV with KC and Nick.
Ashley sat on the stairs going to the 2nd floor. She had her head in her hands. She couldn't believe she had actually thought that AJ would take her back. Right then, Ashley saw someone standing in front of her. She looked up to see AJ.
"Hi" she mumbled. AJ nodded a greeting and sat beside her on the stairs.
"I wanna be friends with you, Ashley" he said. Ashley nodded and turned her body towards him.
"So do I. Is there anyway we can?" she asked, hopefully. AJ shrugged, then grinned at her.
"Maybe. We've got the rest of the day to find out" he replied. Ashley frowned at him.
"I'm sorry AJ" she said. AJ nodded at her.
"I know" he said. Then he put his arm around her shoulders. Ashley felt a tear roll down her cheek as he held her. She only hoped they'd be friends. It was the thing she wanted more than anything else in her life.
