Around 12:15, Ashley entered the girls' room. She was practically screaming inside. The screaming AJ fan inside of her had been dying to come out ever since she talked to him. The other girls were sleeping.
The next morning, Ashley rubbed her eyes and stretched. Laney and KC
jumped out of bed when they saw Ashley stirring.
"TELL US EVERYTHING!" KC screamed. Ashley grinned broadly and she sat
down on the edge of her bed.
"Okay. After Brian and Laney went to go talk to you and Nick, AJ and I
started talking. Howie and Kev said they were exhausted, so they went
to bed. But me and AJ kept talking. He asked me all about myself and
I told him. Then he told me about the tour and everything. There was
a period of silence. Then he told me I was pretty. Being me, I just
said thanks. Then he kissed me!" she exclaimed, obviously overwhelmed
with joy. Laney and KC were so happy for her. They rushed to give her
a hug. But Ashley held up her hand.
"I'm not done. After Brian interrupted our wonderful moment, and after
him and Laney left, he told me he wanted to see me again...you know
after he left the lodge. Of course I said sure. We kissed again and you
know, talked about 'us'. I think we're a couple now" she explained,
still smiling. KC and Laney squealed and hugged Ashley.
"Do you guys know what this means?!" Laney exclaimed, pulling out of
the hug.
"What?!" KC and Ashley cried at the same time. Laney smiled.
"We might get to tour with the Backstreet Boys! We're be the envy of
millions of girls around the world! We'll be their nightmares as 'the
girls who stole the Backstreet Boys from them'! We'll --" Laney was cut
off.
"Hold it! He didn't even say that it would be happening!" Ashley
exclaimed, holding up her hands. KC nodded and Laney frowned.
"It'd better. Brian and I are totally hitting it off. But I know it's
only friends, but still! IT'S BRIAN!" she yelled. There was a banging
on the door. Laney fell off the edge of the bed. The girls burst out
laughing. KC ran to the door and looked through the peep hole. She turned
back around, smiling.
"It's the Boys! All of them!" she exclaimed. Laney and Ashley squealed
and ran to the peep hole. It was all of them. Ashley pushed Laney
and KC out of the way and opened the door a crack. She was still in her
pajamas and didn't feel right strutting around in front of AJ in her nightie!
AJ smiled when he saw her.
"Hi Ashley. Did we wake you?" he asked. Ashley shook her head.
"No. We've been awake for a while" she replied. AJ nodded. KC wrestled to
get Ashley out of the way. Both girls ended up on the floor. Laney stepped
over them and opened the door wider. She stepped out in to the hallway. She
was fully dressed.
"Hi" she said. They greeted her cheerfully. Laney was holding on to the
door knob and pulling it out. She could feel (and hear) KC and Ashley
trying to open the door from inside. AJ was staring at her.
"What?" she demanded. AJ shifted his weight to his right foot. He
gestured to the door.
"Can I talk to Ashley?" she asked, rudely. Laney's mouth dropped open
and she scringed up her nose.
"Ashley's not dressed yet" she said quietly. AJ's eyes lit up.
"She's naked?" he asked. The guys groaned at AJ. Laney rolled her eyes and
sighed loudly.
"She's not naked. She's just in her PJs. Do you really think Ashley sleeps
naked? We all know you do, but Ashley's not like you" Laney explained.
AJ nodded, happily.
"Okay. We wanted to know if you girls wouldn't mind joining us for a little
skiing?" he asked. Laney turned her gaze to Brian. He smiled hopefully at
her. What else could she say!
"Yeah, sure. We'll come. We'll meet you in the lobby at 10:30, okay?"
Laney replied. Brian's eyes lit up and they walked back down the hall.
Laney watched them until they got in the elevator. Brian looked back at
her and waved. Laney smiled and waved back. He got in the elevator.
Laney opened the door and walked back in the room. Ashley gave her a hard
shove.
"Why'd you do that? I wanted to talk to AJ!" she exclaimed, angrily. Laney
licked her lips.
"He thought you were naked" she said. Ashley gasped.
"HE WHAT??!!" she cried. Laney smiled and opened up the closet door. She
took out her blue skis.
"I told him you weren't dressed, and he thought you were naked. I bet he'd
love to see you then, eh Ash!" Laney replied, setting her skis against
the wall. Ashley laughed.
"What a cutie" she replied. Laney and KC raised their eyebrows at her.
"Oh never mind" Ashley said. She opened up her suitcase and took out her clothes
for the day.
"Don't leave without me" she said, stepping into the bathroom. She closed
the door behind her.
