"Yea we’re off to a good start…winning our first game!" Brian said, after the game. "Yea…" Nick agreed. "Good game guys." Justin said, walking by in only a towel. "Don’t even talk to us." Brian said. Justin flashed them his middle finger and walked away. "Yo Timberlake. What happened to your back?" Nick said. He ignored the comment. "Yo shit head. He’s talking to you." Scott, one of the guys on the team, said. "Nothing happened to my back." He said, taking a quick look over his shoulder. Nick nudged Brian. "Look at his back…he’s got like 8 scars on his back. What could they be from?" Nick asked. Brian looked up, and immediately one thought came to mind. "I know what they’re from." He said, going over to Justin. "Where are the scars from Justin?" Brian asked. Justin looked over at Brian and started laughing. Brian just looked at him, waiting for an answer. "You really want to know? They’re from when I raped your girl." Justin said. Brian jumped at him, threw him up against the lockers, started punching him. The coach, who had heard everything, came over and pulled Brian off of Justin. "Come with me young man, you have some people you need to talk to." The coach said, taking Justin into his office. "I’m gonna kill you, you fuckin pig." Brian shouted, as Justin was taken away.
Three months later at graduation…
"Nick, if it weren’t for you pointing out those scars I never would have gotten justice over this whole thing…thank you." Gaby said, giving Nick a hug. "Anything for you Gab." Nick said. "Can you believe we all graduated?" Becky said, coming over to Gaby and Nick. "Yea…actually I can." Nick answered. "I can’t believe I made it through this year without going crazy…" Gaby joked. "Yea really…I would have if I was in your shoes." Becky said, "Where’s Bri at?" Becky asked. "I don’t know…" Gaby answered. "I do." Nick said with a smile, "Come on, he’s down at the courts." Nick said, taking the girls hands.
When they got to the courts, Brian was there, with a picnic set up. "Brian. What’s this for?" Gaby asked, walking over to him. "For the people I love." He answered, "Sit down." he said. They sat down and ate the lunch Brian had made. He seemed nervous the whole time. "Brian what’s wrong, you’re palms are all sweaty." Gaby said. Brian looked over at Nick. Nick gave him a look telling him to do what he was planning. Brian turned back to Gaby, and pulled out a tiny velvet box. "Gabs, will you marry me?" he asked. "Oh my God. Yes. I’ll marry you." Gaby answered, as Brian put the ring on her finger. "I love you." Gaby said. "I love you too." Brian said, giving her a hug and kiss.
"You knew about this and didn’t tell me?" Becky asked Nick. "Yup…I knew you would tell." Nick said with a little laugh. Becky looked at him. "I’m just kidding. But yea I did know…Bri wanted to keep it secret." Nick explained. "Then why’d he tell you?" Becky asked. "I don’t know…this is a stupid conversation…" Nick said, with an annoyed tone. "I love ya Nick." Becky said, giving him a kiss on the cheek. "I love you too." Nick replied, giving her a kiss. "Ok I hate to break this love fest…but Nick? For good times sake? Wanna play a little one on one?"
