"Has anybody seen my wide leg khakis?" Chesa asked running around the house with her spaghetti-strap shirt and sweat pants on.
"Right there." Brian told her and pointed to the railing, where they were hanging. Brian chuckled.
"I'm on to you Littrell, and don't you even think for one second that I'm not! I can smell a conspiracy from a mile away." Chesa told him sarcastically and pointing at him.
"Whatever you say, Chesa. Whatever you say..." Brian sighed and walked back into his room. Chesa went and got ready. When Chesa was putting on her
other sneaker she heard a knock at her door. "Come in." Rachelle walked in.
"Hey Chester."
"Hi Rach." Chesa replied tying her shoe lace.
Rachelle came over and sat on the edge of her bed.
"So, what is the story on you and Brian?" Rachelle asked nosily, Chesa looked over at her.
"What do you mean? There is no story between me and Brian." Chesa replied, a little shocked.
"Chesa, give me a break, you guys have been flirting off the hook!" Rachelle exclaimed.
"Rach, you've been here three hours." Chesa told her.
"Well, Chesa, considering that I can tell that you like him, and that he likes you in three hours, that must tell ya something!"
"Oh, be quiet! So what if I like him? He has a life! That is something I lack." Chesa replied with a sigh.
"Chesa! As far as I can see, you two like each other, and I think you should try to make something happen in the two weeks that they are here than nothing
at tall and regretting it." Rachelle suggested.
"I don't think so Rach."
"Well, if you don't wanna talk to me about you and Brian, then talk to me about Kevin!" Rachelle ordered, they both laid back on her bed and laughed.
"That boy is fine!"
"Yeah, I figured you'd like him!" Chesa admitted with a giggle, "Tall, dark and handsome. Not to mention very sweet. Definitely your type."
"Yup! So, what is the scoop on that fine child?"
"He is yours for the taking as far as I know," Chesa told her and laughed when Rachelle murmured "Yesss!" under her breath. "He broke up with his
girlfriend, Stephanie, about five months ago."
"Hallelujah, Hallelujah." Rachelle sung in her best opera impression.
"Is there a cat dying somewhere?" Nick asked sarcastically from the hall.
"Oh, shut-up Nick!" Rachelle called back with a smile.
"Oh, you are just still mad that I beat you at Mario Kart!" Nick yelled back.
"Hey guys! We are leaving in five minutes!" They all heard Amber yell from down stairs. Rachelle and Chesa went to the door and found Nick out in the
hallway by the stairs.
"Shall I escort you two lovely ladies downstairs?" Nick asked with a bow.
They nodded and took his arm, then started down the stairs...
"You want to dance?" Kevin asked Rachelle as she sat at the bar. They had been at the club for about half an hour. She smiled then nodded. Chesa winked at Kevin as they headed out onto the floor. Chesa looked around and saw Amber and Nick dancing. She still didn't understand why Rachelle had asked what the scoop was on she and Brian...Nick and Amber were flirting more than anybody!
"Hey chiquita." AJ greeted walking up to the bar.
"Hey bone." Chesa replied and took a sip of her Bud Light.
"You wanna dance?" AJ asked. Chesa smiled.
"Sure." She replied and shot back her head real fast to get the last sip of her beer, then took AJ's hand and they began to dance to a re-mix of a
Whitney Houston song.
"Chesa, don't fall for Brian." AJ told her.
"Huh?" She asked shocked, "What the hell is he talking about? I'm not gonna fall for Brian!" She lied to herself.
"I see you and Brian flirting all the time, Chesa, he isn't right for you." AJ told her.
"AJ, who ever said I'm gonna fall for Brian?" She asked. "Plus, no offense AJ, but, you aren't my dad. Not that I listened to him on issues like this, but never the less."
"Chesa," He started and pulled her in for a slow dance, "I'm not trying to be your dad, I just don't want you to get hurt."
"AJ, after what I have been through in life, breaking up with a boyfriend isn't gonna push me over the edge... But, hey, thanks for being concerned."
She told him and gave him a light kiss. AJ smiled slightly, then nodded.
"You're right, I don't have the authority to say who and who you cannot date. But, I still don't like it." AJ told her as Brian walked up.
"Hey, Bone, can I cut in?" Brian asked with a smile.
"Yeah, man." AJ replied and pulled away from Chesa. AJ winked and walked off. Brian set his hands on her waist and pulled her in. Chesa stared into
his eyes. "He has such warm, thoughtful eyes. Eyes that can never lie. They are the perfect shade of icy blue..." She kept on thinking to herself, when she notice Brian look down at her, she immediately focused on something else, looking away. "She has such life, such a glow to her." Brian thought to himself, "She is unique, exotic is probably a better word. She is
beautiful, inside and out. And her smile...oh her smile.."
"Brian," Chesa whispered, cutting off Brian's train of thoughts, "look." She pointed over at Kevin and Rachelle who were lightly kissing.
"Awww! Lil' Kevin has found a playmate!" Brian cooed looking at his cousin. Chesa chuckled.
"They truly are perfect for each other..." Chesa said with a sigh, "She is caring, sometimes quiet, mostly curious. He is strong, quiet, confide, but
sweet, and sometimes open to certain people." Brian looked down at Chesa, who was staring at Kevin and Rachelle.
"You truly can read people, can't you?"
"Yeah...pretty much." She told him, switching her gaze back to him. Brian smiled at her as an up-beat song came on. The pulled away from each other
and started dancing again.
"You are a great dancer." Nick told Amber as they danced. Amber smiled at him.
"Well, I had a great night! I hope all of you did too!" Chesa announced as they walked into her and Amber's house.
"Thanks, you are too." Amber replied.
"You wanna stop for moment and get a drink?" Nick asked her.
"OK." Amber replied and they headed off to the bar. When they got there Howie was sitting talking to some chick.
"Hey D." Nick greet and sat next to Howie, Amber following him. Howie turned around.
"Oh, hey guys. Jen, this is Howie and Amber, guys this is Jen." Howie introduced.
"Did you see Rachelle and Kevin before?" Amber asked Nick as they finished their drinks.
"Yeah! I did. That is great for both of them, especially Kevin."
"Yeah, didn't he break up with his girlfriend a couple months ago?" Amber asked as she a Nick both headed back out on the floor.
"Yeah, he did." Nick replied.
"They looked sooo cute." Amber sighed as she and Nick started dancing. She and Nick both looked into each other's eyes. Then Nick brought Amber into a
soft kiss. When they both pulled back, Amber stayed silent. But her silence just answered everything Nick was contemplating and again Nick brought her in for a kiss.
"Oh yeah!" Amber exclaimed walking in hand-in-hand with Nick.
"Well, my night was fun, I dunno about the rest of you all." AJ replied stretching out his arms.
"I had a great time." Rachelle said with her arm around Kevin.
"Yeah, we have to do that again while we are here." Kevin told them excitedly.
"Definitely." Howie agreed.
"OK, we will then." Chesa announced with a chuckle. Everybody started to their rooms.
"Well," Brian started and took Chesa's hands in his, facing her, "I had a great night."
Chesa smiled, "Yeah, so did I." Brian began to come in for a kiss when-
"CHESA! What did you do with my tooth brush?" they heard AJ yell.
