"Good mornin'." Amber greeted half asleep walking into the kitchen to find Kevin, Howie, AJ and Brian all sitting around drinking coffee and talking.
"Morning." They all replied.
"How'd ya sleep?" Kevin asked.
"Quite well. Unusual dream, but quite well."
"What dream was that?" Howie asked.
"Or was it a nightmare with that alien in it from the movie?" Brian asked with an eerie voice.
"Very funny. Na, actually, I was at a carnival with Chesa and we were being stalked." She replied getting a mug from the cabinet.
"By who?" Howie asked.
"N*SYNC...don't ask." She ordered as the guys looked a little confused.
"Don't worry, we won't" AJ assured, shuttering.
Just then Chesa walked in, she was still mostly asleep.
"Morning." They all greeted. She didn't say anything, just made a little wave motion with her hand.
"OK, where is the coffee?" Chesa muttered getting a mug.
"Somebody definitely isn't a morning person." AJ joked.
"Yup. Now don't bother me, I'm very grumpy in the morning, and if I don't break your leg, I'll bite your head off." Chesa warned, still mumbling.
"Whoa, man, I'm clearing out of here, here comes Godzilla!" Brian teased and got up out of his chair. Chesa hissed like a cat and took his seat, then
smiled innocently. "Thank you."
"No problem." Brian assured. Nick was the last to come in. And he was actually quite chipper.
"Hello people." He greeted with a smile as he got a cup of coffee.
"How can you be so chipper? It is nine in the morning on a Saturday." Chesa asked, still trying to get fully awake with the help of her friend, Mr.Coffee.
"I don't know...just am." Nick replied leaning against the counter.
"So, what do you all want to do today?" Amber asked excitedly.
"We have to go clubbing tonight!" Chesa suggested, getting a little more enthusiastic."
Yeah! I'm up for that!" Howie agreed.
"Yeah!" Amber stated.
"Sure, why not?" Brian commented.
"OK, Kevin, Nick?" AJ asked. They both nodded.
"Alright then, clubbing it is." AJ finalized.
"Hey, somebody come play catch with me out back." Chesa begged at about 3:30 in the afternoon later that day. She held up her glove and ball. Nobody
answered. "Pleeeeeeease?" She whined.
"OK, I'll play." Brian told her and got up.
"Yippee!" She squealed and grabbed another glove for Brian. Out of the corner of her eye, Chesa saw Brian roll his eyes. "Don't roll your eyes at
me young man!" She reprimanded him sarcastically. He smiled innocently.
"Me?" He asked and pretended to be shocked, "I'm hurt!"
"Oh, be quiet. Here is my old glove." She told him and passed a nice worn in glove to him. He caught it and then followed her outside. Chesa jogged over
to the other side of the lawn, and felt uncomfortable. "Com'mon girl, get a hold of your self! Brian shouldn't be making you feel uncomfortable, you're
Chesa!" She thought to her self. She threw the ball to Brian and he caught it.
"Com'mon, you throw like a girl!" He snickered and threw it back. Chesa reered back and threw the ball as fast and hard as she could...Brian missed
it and it hit the ground a few feet behind him.
"HA-HA!" She yelled to him. He sighed and rolled his eyes, then grabbed the ball. "Bad pitcher my ass!"
"Yeah?! Well get this!" Brian yelled and threw it really hard, Chesa caught it, but then tore off her glove and cried out in pain.
"Holy shit Brian! You didn't have to try to amputate my fingers!" She yelled as Brian ran over.
"Are you Alright?" He asked her taking her hand and looking at her fingers.
Chesa felt a warm and cold sensation when he touched her hand and couldn't speak for a moment. "Chesa? Are you Alright?" Brian again asked, catching her wandering gaze.
"Huh? Uh, yeah, I'm Alright, the pain has almost subsided." She replied.
Brian smiled and kissed her hand, and yet again did the sensation occur, but stronger. "There, all better. You still wanna play?"
"You still wanna live?" She shot back with an eye brow raised. Brian chuckled.
"OK, OK. I won't throw so hard. But, you know, if I had caught that ball you threw me, I'd be in your shoes right now." Brian pointed out, starting
to walk back over to his original position.
"Hell, I don't even know if Brian Jordan or Chipper Jones can throw it that hard!" Chesa told Brian sarcastically. Brian turned around and smiled as he reached his spot.
"You never know."
"But maybe Randy Johnson, maybe.........."
"Awww! Look at the nice children playing like civilized people!" Howie exclaimed looking out the window at Brian and Chesa.
"Huh?" AJ asked and walked over. He looked outside and took a sip of his soda. He looked at the two of them smiling and flirting, then groaned.
"What?" Howie asked his band mate.
"Look at them!" AJ exclaimed turning to face Howie.
"So! AJ, you flirt ten times as much as Brian does or is!" Howie pointed out. AJ shrugged.
"You're right," he admitted and started to walk into the kitchen, Howie trailing a little behind, "but you gotta understand man, I've known Chesa forever, she and I are like brother and sister, possibly closer. I'm just watching out for her. I worry, you know?"
"About she and Brian?" Howie asked surprised.
"Hey man, you never know who will hurt you."
"AJ, get a grip. This is Brian we are talking about!" Howie exclaimed, trying to reason with AJ.
"Hey guys, Rachelle is here!" Chesa yelled as she, Brian and Rachelle entered the house. Everybody piled into the main hall. Amber before all of them.
"Hey chiquita!" Amber exclaimed and gave Rachelle a hug.
"Hey!" Rachelle replied, "How's it been?"
"Besides the fact that I'm hanging out with this crew, boring." Amber replied, all of them chuckled.
"Well, Rachelle, I would like you to meet Kevin, Howie, AJ, and Nick." Chesa introduced.
"Hi."
"Hi." She replied.
"Rachelle, we are gonna go clubbing tonight, you up for it?" Chesa asked with a grin. A wide grin spread across Rachelle's face.
"Hell ya!" She exclaimed.
