“What were you doing?!” I screamed at AJ, backing away from him.
“What do ya mean babe?” he questioned innocently, with a mischievious grin on his face.
“You know exactly what I mean! I thought we were just going to be friends,” I yelled, wondering just what Nick had seen.
“We are, hon,” he chuckled a bit.
“Do you always kiss your friends like that?” I retored sarcastically, raising an eyebrow.
“What is it? Are you worried what your little sweetheart might have caught you dong?” he taunted.
“What I was doing? You kissed ME! Just leave, please,” I snapped feeling very annoyed.
“Fine, fine, I was just kidding. Are you always this touchy?” he asked pretending to be offended.
“No, I’m not. I’ve just got a lot of on my mind. I’m sorry. I’ll see you later!” I replied, practically pushing him out of my door.
Great, one problem out of the way. Now what to do about Nick…I should go find him. I got up and walked outside into the bright Florida sun that burned across my back. I walked to Nick’s house and saw his car in the driveway, which was a good indication that he was home. I knocked on the door and waited…no answer. I eased the door open and peered inside, still standing outside.
“Nick?” I called into the empty house.
