"Hello?" Sky answered her phone.
"Hi, it's Nick. I just had this really weird dream. Can you come over and talk to me about it?"
"Nick, it's late..." Sky trailed off.
"Please, it's important...it really gave me a bad feeling."
Nick's voice sounded almost pleading, how could Sky resist? It must be very important that he talk to her about this dream, right this instant, in person.
"Okay, what room are you in?" Sky asked.
"98. Get here as fast as you can, okay?" Nick requested.
"Sure." They hung up, and Nick fell back against the bed. What was that dream all about? It really shook him up, and now all he wanted to do was talk to Sky about it.
Brian stepped, into the room, dressed in his sleep wear which was boxers and a gray t-shirt.
"Bri, I just had the weirdest dream, and Sky was in it, and I called her and now she's coming over in a few minutes." Nick blurted out.
"She's coming over now? It's one thirty!" Brian exclaimed.
"I know, but it's really important."
"Well, I'm going to sleep!" Brian said, slipping into bed, and tucking the covers up to his chin.
Just then, there was a knock on the door. Nick answered it and let Sky in. "Sky, my bud in his bed right here is Brian. Brian, this lady to my left is Sky."
"Nice to meet you." Sky said politely.
"Nice to meet you too." Brian said before rolling over and going to sleep.
"Don't mind him, we've been recording all day and we're all really tired." Nick explained.
"Don't worry about it."
They slipped out into the hall, and started towards the staircase.
"So, what was this dream of yours all about?" Sky asked Nick.
Nick looked away, "I'll tell you later." He said.
"Okay," Sky said, looking at him. She felt a bit concerned, why was Nick so hesitant to tell her his dream?
They made it to the lobby of the hotel, and Nick pushed open the door. They stepped outside into the cool night air.
They walked to a bench and sat down on it. "Are you ready to tell me your dream?" Sky asked, placing her hand lightly on his arm.
He looked away, wanting to tell her, but finding his lips unable to speak the words. Finally, he said, "Why is it so hard for me to tell you it? It's not like it was a big deal, but I guess, I guess it actually was. The contents of it wasn't that bad or anything, you know? But, it was just like, so weird that it just, just gave me this awful feeling. Also, it seemed so real! I know everybody says that 'bout their dreams, but I really mean it. If I didn't wake up in bed, I would have sworn that it really happened, ya know? It's just so confusing, and I hate feeling like this."
Sky looked at him thoughtfully. "I've known you for barely two days, and I know nothing about you, and yet... I seem just to know everything. Everything there is to know," Sky said.
The moment she spoke those words, a feeling hit her. It hit her so fast it was like someone had punched her in the stomach. The feeling was a mix of emotions; confusion, anxiousness, tiredness, and the cold hard feeling of being scared.
Sky's jaw dropped as it hit her. These feelings she was feeling, were not her own.
They were Nick's.
She looked at him, shock written all over her face.
"I know what, what..."
"What I'm feeling," Nick finished. "The only reason why I know, is because, I can feel what your feeling too--Surprise and concern."
"You, can feel what I'm feeling to? Oh God, this is really frightening."
"Especially because they're so separated, do you know what I mean? Like, on one side of my mind, I feel my own feelings, and on the other, I feel yours."
"Exactly, that describes it perfectly."
"I guess I should really tell you my dream now," Nick sighed and told her, omitting the 'romantic' parts.
"God, that is really weird." Sky commented.
"So...what do we do now?" Nick asked.
Sky's face went back to that look, looking at nothing and everything at the same time. Finally, she forced her eyes to look into his. "I don't know. I really don't know."
