"I don't every want to see him again," Ali cried into Nick's chest.
"You won't ever have to," he said stroking her hair.
When they got to Ali's new house Nick carried her inside. He layed
her in bed.
"Thanks for getting me," Ali smiled and pulled Nick's
head down for a kiss," I've missed your lips."
"Same here," he grinned, "Tim's been worried about
your cuts."
"They're healing," Ali said showing him her stomach.
It was a simple scratch.
"Looks good," he said rubbing her tummy. It tickled
so she laughed a little. Ali pulled Nick in bed with her.
"I'm worried," she admitted, "The summer's almost
halfway over. You're leaving soon," she told him.
"I won't go," he said seriously.
"You have to. Its just I'm gunna miss you so much,"
Ali whispered.
"Its not for another couple of days, don't worry," he
said caressing her cheek.
"I'm just glad to be with you right now," she smiled
fake and kissed him. The phone rang.
"he found me," Ali said holding onto Nick tightly.
"Don't worry. I'm here," he rubbed her arm. He picked
up the phone and prayed it wasn't Danny.
"Hello?"
"Nick, how's Al?" Brian asked.
"She's fine," he sighed in relief, "Its Bri,"
he told Ali.
"There's gunna be a lot of stuff over at Ali's house. Like
sorry gifts. I think I'm gunna go pick some of that stuff up,"
Brian told him.
"Well, I was just going to get a shower and pickup more stuff,"
Nick replied. Ali rolled over crying. She remembered the things
Danny made her do, "Okay, seeya soon, bye," Nick said
hanging up, "Al?" he asked seeing her turned the other
way.
"What?" she asked pretending not to cry.
"I was just going to go pick up some more of your stuff after
a shower," he told her.
"That's fine," she said. This time Nick noticed her
tone.
'What's wrong?" he asked turning her towards him. She cried
into his shirt.
"Nothing, go," she told him. He pulled her face to his.
"Tell me," he said seriously.
"Its just, I remembered all the things he did to me. That's
all," she replied.
'Oh, honey, that's over now, forget it," he said stoking
her hair.
"Now go, you smell," Ali laughed.
"Come with me," he said holding her face in his hands.
Ali looked up into his eyes," Please?" he pleaded.
"No," Ali shook her head and pulled away.
"Why?" he asked.
"Its just Danny, he forced me to take showers with him, and
my hands were always tied up and I," Ali couldn't finish.
She started crying.
"Ali, don't cry, I hate to see you this way," Nick said
wiping her tears away with his thumb.
"I swear I need a therapist," Ali laughed lightening
the mood.
"Nah, you're just having a hard time," he said rubbing
her shoulder," Sit up," he told her. Ali listened. Nick
pulled her into his lap. He placed his hands on her shoulders
and started to massage her.
"Oh, thanks," Ali said turning around and kissed him.
"Welcome," he smiled.
"Don't you have to go somewhere?" Ali asked.
"Oh yeah, i gotta get a shower," he remembered.
"Well?" Ali asked.
"I like this better," he said and kissed her neck. Ali
took one of his hands in hers.
"Go," she said seriously looking into his eyes.
"Fine," he sighed. The phone rang again. Ali squeezed
Nick tightly to her. He picked up the phone.
"Nick, stop making out and get in the shower," Brian
demanded.
"Jeez, you catch me doing everything," Nick laughed.
He hung up, "He caught me," Nick smiled and kissed her
neck again.
"Nicky, go," Ali said hurrying him along. He finally
got up and took a shower.
"I'm back," he jokingly threatened. He walked over to
the bay window. Ali was sitting there staring out the window.
"Still wet though," Ali said still staring. He kneeled
by Ali and gave soft kisses to her back and neck.
"Brian's waiting," Ali told him. Nick stood up and picked
Ali up. He dropped her to the bed.
"What're you doing?" Ali asked.
"Forget about Brian for right now," he said laying by
her.
"But," Nick cut her off.
"Its just you and me right now," he said gently. Nick's
cell phone went off, "Hello?"
"Nick, you in the car?" Brian asked.
"Oh, hang on," Nick got up and went outside of their
room so Ali wouldn't hear, "Bri, Ali's having a hard time.
I think I'm just going to stay here. Sorry man," Nick explained.
He wasn't lying. Ali really was breaking down.
"Sure," Brian said sarcastically, "I'll be over
there in a half hour." Nick went back into the bedroom.
"He doesn't need me to go," Nick told her.
"Oh, okay," Ali smiled. She pulled Nick into bed and
kissed him passionately. He started to pull her shirt off.
"You okay?" he asked sweetly.
"Yeah," Ali nodded and kissed him. He started to pull
down her shorts, but Ali stopped him.
"No Nick. I told you. I don't want this now," Ali pulled
away from his grasp. She put her shirt back on and went in the
family room.
"What just happened?" Nick asked himself. He slicked
his wet hair back and when to see if Ali was okay.
"I'm fine," Ali said before he even asked her.
"We don't have to," Nick said sitting by her on the
couch. Her eyes were glued to the TV.
"i know," she mumbled.
"But."
"You just went too fast. That's all. I'm fine, really,"
she smiled and kissed him.
"Bri'll be here soon with your stuff," he told her rubbing
her knee.
"I'll fix dinner," Ali said getting up.
"Oh, honey no, you need to take it easy," Nick said
pulling her back by her waist.
"It'll be a thank you dinner," she said pulling away.
Nick really didn't want her to, but with Ali's personality he
had to let her. She made spaghetti and meatballs for the guys.
Brian came and he obviously wanted some.
"Ali, did you know a Tony Myer?" Brian asked.
"Yeah, why?" she asked.
"He was dropping off a gift at your house and wanted to see
you tomorrow at noon," he explained.
"Really? Oh, I can't wait. He was like my best friend forever,"
she said excited.
"Al, i don't think you should," Nick said sternly.
"Yeah well, I think I should," she replied sharply,
"Let me live my life Dad."
"This is my house and I'm not letting you out!" he yelled,
"Its dangerous!" he yelled at her. Ali got up and stomped
upstairs to her room. She hated being told what to do, but knew
this time it was for the best.
For the next two days Ali and Nick didn't speak. Brian stayed
over in case and fights broke out between them. On Friday they
had to leave.
"Ali, you're not going back to school when it starts. A tutor
is going to come. We'll be back in 5 months," Brian explained.
"Okay, Brian, keep an eye on Nick for me. I know we're fighting,
but I still care, ya know?" she asked.
"I understand perfectly," he smiled and hugged her,
"I gotta go."
"Thanks for everything, bye," Ali replied. Brian walked
out and got in the limo waiting for them.
"Um, Ali?" Nick asked uncomfortably. She turned around.
"Yeah," she asked looking at the ground.
'Take care of yourself," he patted her shoulder.
"You too," she replied.
"The keys to my car are on the table," he told her.
"Oh, um, okay," she said looking at anything, but him.
"Bye," he said putting his hands in his pocket.
"Bye," Ali said showing him out.
During the next 5 months Ali and Nick realized how much they did
love each other.
Nick always spaced out thinking of Ali, but he always had the
guys to cheer him up. Ali became extremely lonely. Over the 5
months she planned to kiss Nick one more time and do away with
herself. Nick was away too often and she wasn't sure if she'd
be able to deal. Danny tried his hardest to fine Ali, but there
were no signs.
"Ali, we'll be back in about an hour so be awake," Brian
told her over his cell phone.
"I'll try," she admitted, "Who's coming?"
"All the guys," he replied simply.
"Do I need to fix something for you guys to eat?" she
asked.
"Nah, we'll get fast food," he shrugged.
"I'll fix something, you guys are in my care now, you gots
to eat good," she replied.
"Okay seeya soon," he gave in.
"Bye," Ali hung up.
She fixed a big salad for their dinner. The guys finally arrived
and she sat them down to eat.
Nick went to help her in the kitchen.
