“You know her?” AJ asked surprised.
“Unfortunately, yes.”
“Huh?” he asked confused.
“Get out of my house!” I yelled in her face.
She stared at me and AJ asked, “Lindsey...what are you doing?”
I ignored him and continued to yell at Claire. “I want you out of my house NOW!” I turned to AJ and said, “Take this skank anywhere you want, but get her out of my house and away from me!”
“Lindsey, please calm down,” Nick pleaded.
“NO! I hate you and I want you to leave,” I said to her.
“Maybe you should go to our place,” Nick led Claire out of my condo and to their house.
When they were gone, AJ went off on me. “What the hell were you thinking? Why did you treat her like that?”
“Hello! Don’t you know?”
“Know what?”
“I hate Claire! She slept with Mary’s boyfriend!! We all USED to be best friends.”
“That was like two and a half years ago though, right?”
“Yeah..so?”
“So? So, it’s been so long, don’t you think she’s sorry or something?”
“No! Because she’s the type of person who lies, cheats, and is NEVER ever sorry about it! PLEASE don’t go out with her, it will only end in heartache.”
“Lindsey, I really, really like her.
“Whatever,” I turned and started to walk away but he stepped in front of me.
“Don’t just say whatever and leave things this way!”
“Well, what should I say? I don’t trust her.”
“But I do! That’s what matters. Can you please try and be nice to her for MY sake?”
“I guess I can TRY!”
“Thank you. So are you still coming tonight?”
“I don’t think so.”
“Come on, you two may even become *gasp* friends again!”
“HA! I do NOT think that will happen.”
“Come anyway..please?” he pouted.
“Ughhh.....fine!”

I actually made it through the whole dinner and movie without starting a fight with Claire. I never even talked to her for that matter.
“Hey, it’s your big day,” I said to Aaron.
“So are you gonna tell me the surprise or what?”
I pretended to think about it, “Well.....no.”
“Ugh!”
“Come on, only,” I looked at the kitchen clock which read 5:00 PM and said, “One more hour!”
“Ohhh come on, hint? Please?”
“Ummm no!”
“You are very, very cruel.”
“You are very, very irritating,” I smiled.
“So what are we gonna do tonight?”
“Well, we’re gonna go ride your precious go-carts for a while, then when you finally get sick of them, we’ll come back here and get your surprise. I’ll tell ya the rest later.”
“Sounds like loads of fun!”
“Yeah, if Claire wasn’t tagging along,” I muttered under my breath.
“Why do you hate her so much? She’s really nice to everyone. And besides, AJ REALLY likes her.”
“I really wish I could trust her, but there’s always gonna be something there that tells me she has cruel intentions.”
“Maybe she should rethink your instincts,” Aaron suggested.
“Yeah, maybe. Are you ready to go now?”
“Definitely!!”
“Ok, me and you are going in Nick’s Durango with him. AJ and Claire are taking AJ’s Expedition, and Kevin, Howie, Brian, and Mary are driving Brian’s BMW. Go tell them to meet us outside.”
“Ok,” he said before running off to get everyone.
As I got in the passenger’s side of Nick’s car, everyone came outside and got in their cars. After Nick and Aaron had gotten in, I glanced at Aaron and he was laying down, stretched across the whole back seat.
“I know it’s your birthday and all, but you still have to buckle up...state law,” I told him.
“Fine..” he whined as Nick sped out of the driveway.
“Ok..speaking of state laws...SLOW DOWN!” I said. “You’re gonna kill your brother before he sees his surprise. At least wait til he knows what it is, then kill him,” I joked.
Nick pretended to think about it, “Hmmm...kill my brother....” he mumble before pressing the gas even harder.
“Ok...SO not funny!” I looked at the speedometer, “Nick! You’re going 90!!” I yelled.
Before releasing the gas, he rolled his eyes and said, “You just don’t know how to have a little fun.”
“Look! We’re already here. Since you were going so fast, we made the 15 minute trip in under 5!”
“That was awesome!” Aaron said.
“Oh yeah...WAY awesome,” I said sarcastically.
“Can we get out now?” Aaron asked impatiently.
“Whatever you want.”
Aaron jumped out of the car and Nick and I followed. As soon as everyone else arrived, we all rode go-carts for about an hour and a half.
“Can we go now? PLEASE?” Kevin begged.
“Yeah, I think we’ve been here long enough,” I agreed.
“I guess...as long as I get my surprise now!” Aaron said.
“Ok.”
Everyone piled back into their cars and headed to my place. I opened the door to my condo and Aaron charged in. “Where is it?” he asked eagerly before stopping dead in his tracks. “Nikki?!” Aaron turned from me to Nikki, back to me again. “Is this my surprise?” I shook my head yes. “Oh my god thank you!!” he ran over and hugged Nikki.
Nick, Brian, Howie, Kevin, AJ, Mary, and I all smiled at his happiness while Claire stood confused at the whole situation.
“Well, I have other plans made for tonight, so I have to get going. Thanks for letting me come, I had fun,” Claire told everyone before turning to kiss AJ.
“Ohh please don’t go...”AJ begged her.
“I’m sorry,” she hugged him, “Happy birthday, Aaron,” she said on her way out. He didn’t answer her because he was in the middle of a conversation with Nikki.
“How have you been?” he asked her.
“Not as good as I am now that I’m with you,” she smiled.
“Yeah, me too.”
“We’re going out to dinner, when we come back you two can be alone,” I explained.
“Ok,” Aaron smiled as he put his arm around Nikki’s waist.
AJ got into the car with Howie, Kevin, Mary, and Brian while the rest of us got into Nick’s car and we drove to the restaurant.
Mary, Brian, Nick, and me sat at a table together, Kevin, Howie, and AJ sat together, and Nikki and Aaron sat by themselves.
“What should we do tonight?” Mary asked the 3 of us.
“Lets see a movie,” Nick suggested.
“I’m up for that as long as it’s not, ‘Space Aliens,’ or whatever,” I said.
“Same here,” Brian agreed.
“What should we see?” Mary asked.
“How bout Drive Me Crazy,” I suggested.
“Ok,” everyone agreed. ~*~*~LATER THAT NIGHT~*~*~
Everyone was sitting around talking at the guys’ condo, so the four of us left for the movie. While in line for tickets, we ran into JC and Justin.
“Hey! I haven’t seen you two in a while,” Mary greeted them.
“Hi.”
“Who are ya here with? Girlfriends?” she teased.
“No...uh....JC is here with his girlfriend and I...I’m just tagging along,” Justin stumbled for words.
“No you aren’t dude-” JC started to say before Justin pulled him away.
“We gotta go,” Justin said he rushed away, “Call me sometime, Mary.”
“Bye Justin!” Mary said confused.
“What was that about?” I asked her.
“Ya got me. Lets go in the theatre now.”
When the movie finished, Mary and I sang along to, “Crazy,” by Britney Spears. Nick and Brian slouched in their chairs; praying not to be seen.
“Ok...we’ll stop,” I said as they let out a sigh of relief. “Well....after this one part,” I laughed as we continued singing.
