she got up on the table
and she got really loud
she said "you'd better pay attention
or ill kick you all out"
everyone started laughing
and they said "just get down and shut up"
so she jumped off the table
and she downed another cup

but its not always fair"
a couple weeks later
at someone elses house
a girl was in the corner
she was quiet as a mouse
she got up on a table
then she started to dance
another punk rock kid
caught in a punk rock trance

even if you're not there"
about a week later
on the other side of town
he was pushing himself up
but somehow he fell down
he doesnt know what he had
but he puked it back up
and from the bottom of the floor
he knew he'd screwed his life up

cuz life's the kind of party
