We are HAPPY to announce that the grounds for our new
Council house have been approved. The ground was blessed in
the most sacred manner possible, and building will begin immediately.
Our members and some of our neighboring brothers and sisters
will be helping in this project so that we can meet our goal.
Our goal is to have our January Council meeting in our new Council house

PROGRAM FOR THE COUNTDOWN TO CLEMENCY
PELTIER WALK FOR FREEDOM
NATIONAL EVENT: Sunday December 10 in New York City
7:00am sunrise ceremony led by David Chief at Battery Park, near Brooklyn
Battery Tunnel, near the Museum of the American Indian
11:00am gather in Union Square, walk begins at 12:00 noon
2:00pm-4:00pm progrm of speakers and cultural activities at Dag Hammerskold Plaza
at the United Nations. Speakers include survivors of the Pine Ridge reign of terror,
Peltier family, Peter Matthiessen, Alice Walker,Jennifer Harbury, Ramsey Clark,
Amnesty International and many more.

The Métis Nation Buteo'Hawk Tribe of N.C. will be having a gift drive
from Dec 16 through Dec 23. Our members will be gathering Food,
Clothes, Toys, etc. for the children of our neighboring brothers and sisters.
We will be taking everything that we gather and distrubuting it among different families.

URGENT CALL FOR PHOTOS AND VIDEO OF THE
DECEMBER 10th PELTIER WALK FOR FREEDOM
The Peltier Walk for Freedom was a great success,
with over 3000 people in attendance. We will release a
detailed report soon. Meanwhile, we are in urgent need
of any and all photos and video footage of the event.
There are various media outlets interested.
If possible, please overnight (or send ASAP) any photos or video
you may have so that we can take advantage of these requests.

We are happy to announce that our Gift Drive was a BIG success.
We were able to collect alot of toys, clothes and food.
With the help of our neighboring brothers and sister of the
e-lo-hi ursus tribe (earth bear)
Most of the items that we collected were donated to the
"Childrens Center of Surry". The rest we divided between
different family's of our brothers and sisters in need.
Our members wish to thank EVERYONE for all the wonderful and
thoughtful donations we recieved last week.
We pray that Everyone has a safe and happy Christmas.
