Down the road

As I walk down the road,
Thoughts cloud my mind,
I’m a black rainbow,
I’m a trip of another kind,
Don’t walk too slow,
Or you’ll never make it to the show

In my mind
Thoughts are fighting,
Elation. . . .
Depression. . . .
Normal again {THANK GOD!}

What’s going on?
As I walk down the road,
I fight to hold it all in,
What will let me win?
It cuts me at the seam,
Catch everything that spills!
Fill it up with me

In my heart,
Feelings rip me apart,
I want to cry,
I want to scream!
I’ll never be the same again

Oh no. Not again.
As I walk down the road,
I am numb to it all again,
I feel the minute of decay,
Nothing is coming my way,

I will never be the same.
