One misconception that is predominant in our society is that the people within it are special. For example the dogma of the sacradness of life. Why? Am I special? Are you special? The notion that we are set above everything else for some reason or another is arrogent and preposterous. We are not special. You are not a delicate flower. It is a self-involved man made bullshit story. Why? Because we are alive. Living people have a large intrest of the sacredness of life. What's the latest from JFK? Nothing cause he's fucking dead.
The only reason why we are so “complex” is due to the fact that we live long lives. Well, long to an ant or a fly. We live up to 120 years and we are constantly intakeing and manipulating information that we see everyday. Anything from opening your eyes in the morning and seeing a poster of your favorite band or to experiencing the most complex emotions such as love, hate, envy, greed, pride, and so forth. Why do we feel that we are superior and that are lives are sacred? If everything that once lived is dead, and everything that is alive is going to die. Where does the sacred part come in?
Cultures and societies are formed through the conformity of the people. Through the sacrifice of the
most essential part of what makes us “special”. Our individuality. What is individuality? It is everything that you have had to deal with in your life from the very moment your brain started functioning in your mother's womb. The only difference between that time and this time is the fact that you have conformed to your societies ways of communication and values. If this were not so you would not be able to understand what I am writing, what your
friend says when they are crying their eyes out after they were dumped by that special someone, or even what ice cream is. We all assimilate information in our own personal and individual ways. But our surrounding culture and society has made it possible for us to do it on a larger scale. We are able to share our stored information and benefit from it.
Our individuality lies in our past. It was built on every word we have uttered. Built on everything we have taken in and assimilated. Built on everything that we were taught. This is where our values and morals come from. From the group judging what is right or wrong for their society.
Who is to say any of these comments are right or wrong? To make everything fair and just, the last would be the most appropriate. But to suit the conservative, the first would suit them. And the ones the puritans who do not want you to enjoy your sexual freedom, the middle comment is their selection. This topic is not smiled upon because “evil begets evil and good begets good.” I believe this should be the official motto for the USA because “In God we trust” just doesn't fit anymore. We do not all trust in God. The USA is supposedly a non-denominational country. No dominating religion or dogma. But we are ultimately under the thumb of the Christian super power. It is in our schools, communities, and the work place where it doesn't belong. Everybody is all upset about prayer in schools. Why? It doesn’t belong in a public place where more than one religious faction is present. If prayer was allowed in school then there would also have to be Wiccan sacraments carried out to the watchtowers. Pork would not be served in the cafeteria to suit the Muslims and the Jewish people. And a goat would have to be sacrificed before the whole school during a pep rally to put a curse on the rival team to make the voodoo culture happy. If you are going to support one, then you will have to support all. When our ancestors came over here to run from tyranny, they unknowingly created a place that would become the place of freedom and a peace of mind for several others than themselves. But wait! We have seen to it personally that we are the “majority” and that we have the power. It is not everything be at leisure, it is “look, but don’t touch. Touch, but don’t taste. Taste, but don’t swallow." It is a sick game and I swear for their own twisted amusement they put the rules into opposition. We have forced our culture on others. We have scapegoated and exploited others for our personal gain. We are the only species on this earth that ritually and systematically kills their own for personal satisfaction and gain. Why? Is this a requirement for being sacred? Is it that we deny ourselves and those around us the individual gratification of watching pornography or being able to be an exhibitionist without being incarcerated? Or God forbid, actually be who are without being repriminded. Why are we so tight assed? Why do we make ourselves walking hypocrites? It doesn't make sense to me. Does it make you look better? Not in the end, that’s for sure. If you put on a happy face and do a little dance and avoid four letter obsenities then you could become a city official or the President. Just look at President Regan. He was an actor. He knew how to get the audience to see his point of view. He knew how to look “clean” for the on-lookers and to show them that he was serious. But behind that facade is a human being with human desires. What about Bill Clinton? He has that carnal desire the same as Regan but because he was caught you mock him and devalue his personal worth. Why? People still love JFK, but he hit more skin then Bill Clition will ever dreamt of seeing and you praise him. We, as a country and a nation, are tight assed assholes. It has developed over the last couple of hundreds of years as a result of all of the mistakes that we've made. And now we are paying the price for our deeds. “You reap what you sow.” Well, it is harvesting time and we have already ran out of baskets to gather our crops. What now? |
