Leslie arrived at the Palace, parked her car, walked for what seemed like forever, then went inside and found her seat. She was so close that she couldn't believe it. Front row! She was actually going to see Nick up close, REALLY close. She had been waiting her whole 18 years for this moment. She had never seen him in person, only pictures and on tv. The opening act finished and the lights went dark. The music to That's The Way I Like It began to play. Then BAM!!!!!! All of the Backstreet Boys rose up an platforms, their backs illuminated by showers of fireworks. And there he was........Nick Carter..........dead center. Leslie screamed at the top of her lungs. There he was, in person!
The guys sang and danced their hearts out for about thirty minutes before the moment that Leslie was waiting for arrived. Nick's solo, Heaven In Your Eyes. She was even more excited when he came out with a head set on. He was actually going to walk around as he sang the song, not just stand at a microphone. She prayed that he would come to her. She just closed her eyes and listened as he sang, " Open up, your heart to me, and say what's on your mind." Leslie felt her knees go weak, she was trying to breathe. She knew that it was Nick this time, not her heart. Leslie opened her eyes to the most beautiful sight. There was Nick, staring into her eyes, singing to her. " I need you tonight, I need you right now. I know deep within my heart, it doesn't matter if it's wrong or right, cause I see Heaven in your eyes." He touched her cheek with his hand, and Leslie started to cry. She looked into his eyes and mouthed the words," I love you." All of the screams around her were silent as she stared at him. He was so perfect. He flashed her that sexy half grin as a few pieces of his hair fell into his eyes. Those eyes, they were magical, they stared at you with the intensity of a fire. Leslie felt dizzy, but she knew why. She was so in love with him. She felt herself melting all over. She didn't even notice what she was holding when the song was over.
As she looked down in her hands she saw a card with a chain. She turned it over and read the words. BACKSTAGE PASS 26547. It was a real backstage pass! She couldn't believe it! Nick must have slipped it in her hands. She was so into him that she hadn't even noticed. She finished the concert, then went to find Nick backstage.
