Long ago, before the First Sailor Wars, a dark star was one of the only embodiments of the followers of Chaos visible to the world. The star had a concience, and this being created another one in the image of a human, a male named Yugatano. He was almost pure darkness, with dark blue eyes and shaggy hair that varied from purple to black. The young man knew no love on that dark star, until the star abandoned him on the peaceful planet of pure light, Solana, when he was the equivalent of about twenty human years.
There, he met the beautiful young ruler of that realm, a descendant of the Golden Senshi herself, Hiko. She bore a faint resemblance to Galaxia, with hair that varied from pale gold to dark orange and eyes the color of spring grass. Hiko warmed Yugatano's heart to goodness, and the two claimed each other as their own.
Happiness encompased their lives as two daughters were born to them, elder Asako and young Yoruko, both in the images of their parents. Asako was pure light like her mother, while Yuroko had more of the night-like tendancies of her father.
Tragedy struck when Chaos overtook Galaxia's body and sent the once-glorious Golden Senshi to seek star seeds. Both Yoruko and Asako had glittering star seeds, and their parents would stop at nothing to save their children. So Yugatano and Hiko sent their children off to seperate kingdoms in the Milky Way Galaxy. Virgo accepted the five-year-old Yoruko while the royal house of Corona Borealis gave Asako, now aged eight, a home. Both were raised as the senshi of their seperate kingdoms. They kept in constant contact with the other as they reached closer and closer to womanhood, both growing more lovely with each passing day.
King Kaichou and his Queen Nijiko raised Asako like their daughter, doting on the young girl and raising her as a true Princess Coronaborealis. She trained with her jitte with palace guards, one of whom she fell madly in love with. He was proclaimed her knight guardian, but his name and constellation have been lost among the sands of time. She was given her "chibi-jitte" henshin item at age fifteen, and the title Senshi of the Spectrum of Light.
Then, tradgedy struck the twosome again, just after Asako's seventeenth birthday. Just as the girls were to be reunited with their parents at the Council of Senshi, the meeting place for the constellation senshi, the same dark star that had created her father attacked the council, seeking what it called the "inochi no otome"...Asako and Yoruko themselves.
By that time, the star had sought out six more minions, the Lady Leiko, Lord Yuiko, and the senshi-turned evil Chiharu, Chinatsu, Chiaki , and Chifuyu. All the senshi fought valliantly against the minions and dark warriors, but to no avail. Then, a miracle happened.
Yoruko and Asako discarded their fukus as Coronaborealis and Virgo, and only kept their weapons: Asako's jitte and Yuroko's no-datchi . Beautiful raniments of day and night appeared on each as the sisters became the legendary Inochi no Otome: Asako-hime and Yoruko-hime. Their abilities combined with the other senshi forced the Kurohoshi back to their star, and improsoned them there. All the senshi's powers were absolutely spent, so they all began to fade away.
Hiko and Yugatano used their devotion for their daughters and their comrades and their magical abilities to send the Constellation Senshi far across the galaxy, to the planet Earth to become Sailor Senshi in new bodies (aka rebirth).
Asako-hime was indeed reborn into the body of Taiyo Asako, the eldest daughter of a meteorologist and a house-wife. She grew up quite normally, living in Alaska and Montana in National Parks most of the time, There, she came to appreciate nature and daytime for its worth. Iris came to her when she had just moved into her uncle Shiro and aunt Ayame's house just outside of Tokyo, and Asako immedietly fell in love with the little furball.
