POET OF THE MONTH
This picture is by Edward Robert Hughs
Netsister Raven
I am a 28 year old wife and mom.
My real-life name is Catherine...
but I am known as Raven on the net.
My pen name is Raven
Jeagger, and this is the name
I write under. I am a poet to the
very core of my being. Other things
I am passionate about are music
and friendship. Other interest are
quotes, lighthouses, and old
books, photos, and history.
~Sweet Words~
Sweet words
Spoken so elequently
Even as you stumble
Groping to find them
Words that speak to my heart
Words that set me free
...Free to dream
...Free to breathe
...Free to live
Through your sweet words.
~On The Way To Surrender~
Swirls of blue twist down until
I can no longer see them
But I feel them
They engulf me
Sweeping me away
Into the depths of you.
~
I search with hands of longing
Given over to grief for the unknown
Peering through a haze
Made pale by your penetrating being.
~
Blues and greens enfold me
Invisible arms that tug
I am on the way to surrender
No way to stop the flow.
~Prison of Ice~
Cold and calculating
She longs to be the sweet one
Life has made her ice
Experience mirrored in her eyes
Look not for love from her
Love was never defined
She yearns to be the lover
To set the passions free
Instead she bricks the wall
A prisoner of unseen memories.
