From One Mom to Another:

We understand each other as no others could.
We have experienced the trials and tribulations of
motherhood and that is something unique onto itself.

No one, that has never been a mother,
can begin to understand the emotions and feelings
that we have had.

No one could understand...

The pinnacle of joy we have felt when first we held
that "little bundle of joy" in our arms...
the one we waited for all those months
or the depths of despair we have felt
when one of our children has been sick
with a high fever or something and we can't seem to
get it under control quick enough to suit us.

The overflowing of love in our hearts when standing at
the sink doing our dishes and one of our toddlers
comes up behind us and hugs our legs and says
"I love you Mom" and they are off again.

We cherish each time one of our children has brought
us a crumpled bouquet of dandelions with a dirty,
sweaty hug and proclaims proudly
"These are for YOU, Mom!"

The pain we have shared with them and felt for them
for every cut, scrape,
disappointment, and broken heart.

The pride we have felt when sitting in the audience
and our child gets called to the stage for an award
for something that we have watched them work and
struggle so hard to achieve.

The fears when we sit up late at night
waiting for them to come home safely,
knowing in our hearts that they will,
but unable to still that little bit of doubt there
until they are safely in the house again.

The wrenching of our hearts when they are taking the
first steps toward independence
and we know that all too soon
we will "be left behind"
as they take flight and leave the nest.

The deep feeling of satisfaction we feel when,
in quiet moments, we sit back and look at
"the finished product"
that our child has become so far,
and know that we have done a good job there!

So, on this day that is dedicated to us,
as mothers,
(and on every day of the year)
I would like to wish you...

THE HAPPIEST OF MOTHER'S DAYS!
