"So what've you been doing since the tour," Chris asked sympatheticly.

"Ah... I've been studying, listening to and pursuing jazz and avoiding my parents." Timber took a sip of her coke.

"Really?"

"Yeah. I told you that after the tour, you knew what I'd be doing."

Chris took a bite of pizza. "Acutally, I never thought that you'd be going on with your life as you did. I thought you'd go punk, switch colleges and dye your hair. Which you did. The silver was you, though."

"I know." There was a long pause before she said "I still have the eyes you loved, though."

"You don't have the name I loved anymore."

"You can still call me that if you want."

"What is your full name, anyway? Now, I mean."

"Timber Mikayla."

"What's your last name?"

She sighed and hesitated before mumbling "Your's. Well, actually it's Wallace-Kirkpatrick, but for most things I sign Kirkpatrick. But when I signed liability forms and shit last time, I wrote Wallace. It's kinda cool; I get to choose my last name."

"But why—"

"There's so much you don't know, Chris. So much you don't know and so much you'll never know. And even if I could tell you some of it, I wouldn't because you might not understand. Wait— that came out wrong. There were things that were going on, and things that I didn't tell anybody. But that's the past and it's over and I'm here now."

"I do understand. You don't need to tell me any of that. But if you ever want to talk, I'm here. Or there, as the case may be. But anyway, we care."

"I know. You cared enough to analyze me on the trip. I know that you didn't and I thank you for that. But I was trying to be uninvolved because I wasn't a fan of you finding out, particularly."

"I know."

I never thought you were a fair-weather friend
You never let me down, you're true to the end
For in the darkest hour when all was lost
Somehow you left the light on
You faced the wrong and showed the world a thing or two
Stood up for me and for you

And you should know
Some say it wasn't worth the things we went through (things we went through)
I say it ain't worth losing you (losing you)
I hope you know how much you've changed all our lives
(Someday) Someday you'll see
If only through heaven's eyes
Only through heaven's..

I still remember the things that you said
I keep your words alive, I could never forget
Cause in the final hour you made me proud
So proud that I could know you
Told the world it's time that they believed in you
You stood for right and truth

And you should know
Some say it wasn't worth the things we went through (things we went through)
I say it ain't worth losing you (losing you)
I hope you know how much you've changed all our lives
(Someday) Someday you'll see
If only through heaven's eyes
Only through heaven's eyes

And so we can't forget
We've got to keep remembering
Them all (them all)
The ones who took the fall
They did it for us all

And we should learn from it
Stand up if you believe in it
You've got to face the world, be strong

Some say it wasn't worth the things we went through (things we went through)
I say it ain't worth losing you (losing you)
I hope you know how much you've changed all our lives
(Someday) Someday you'll see
If only through heaven's eyes
Only through heaven's..

Some say it wasn't worth the things we went through (things we went through)
I say it ain't worth losing you (losing you)
I hope you know how much you've changed all our lives
(Someday) Someday you'll see
If only through heaven's eyes
Only through heaven's..
