What is being done by the government to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS and help the people who are already infected ? a.Through the AIDS information centers like TASOb.Through provision of free condomsc.sensitising the youth about the effects and dangers of AIDS d.encouraging sex education in schoolse.Giving free anti-retroviral drugs to patientsf.providing medicine to pregnant infected mothers to prevent them from infecting their newly born babies g Encouraging the people to go for the blood testsh.The government is supporting the NGOs to continue their fight against AIDS.
2. How comes that a person who is HIV/AIDS negative plays sex with a person who is HIV/AIDS positive and he /she does not get it? a.They could have had protectd sex.One of them may have been discordant i.e.one of them can not contract the AIDs whether he has unprotected sex.
3. How do you differentiate between a person living with HIV/AIDS and one that is negative? Today there are so many people living with the HIV but not with the AIDS hence they look healthy , energetic and none of the signs below may be expressed hence one should not be decieved by the physical appearance of one. There is no sure way of knowing that someone is HIV/AIDS positiveBy looking at him/her physically. However,the following are the possible signs and symptoms;a.weight loss of the infected personb.skin rashesc.regular sicknessd.swollen glandse.herpes zoster(kisipi)f.loss of appetiteThough the above have been given it does not necessarily mean that one with the signs has HIV/AIDS.
4. is it possible for a couple having HIV/AIDS to have a baby who is HIV/AIDS negative? Yes,provided the baby's blood does not get in contact with the mother's at birth. Some people are very lucky in that they possess a gene that forms cell membranes that have no receptors that would attract the HIV onto the cell.Hence in such a person the HIV can never be activated in his body he can stay with the virus but can never have the AIDS hence such a person can spread the virus but it can never be detected in his body.Hence if a baby is in such a category whether his/her blood mixes with the blood of the infected mother he /she can never be tested positive .5. What are the origins and causes of HIV/AIDS? Reasearch has proved that AIDS came from simian mangabey monkey.It is believed to have haboured a virus;The Simian Immune Defficiency Virus where HIV is believed to have descended form.Some others believe that it could have been genetically engineered while othersbelieve that it was developed by the CIAB)
6 .What role are you playing as a youth in your school or community to fight against HIV/AIDS? a.Educating my fellow students on the facts of HIV/AIDSb.Advising my friends to use condoms if they feel that they should have sexc.I advise them to abstain from having sexd.Advising them to go for HIV tests &counselling in case they suspect that they have got the disease
7. Is there any hope for the youth who are already infected? a.YES,there is hope in use of the retrovirals to slow the rate of HIV b.They can take better care of themselves by living positively

Why is it that HIV/AIDS is widely spread among the youth? a.The youth lack self control in most cases .b.There is a belief that the youth can't die at an early age. c.Irresponsible behaviour like dressing indecently, use of drugs and alcohol .d.Lack of self respect ie the youth don't value their lives .e.Society is so permissive ie society doesn't mind what the youth do
.4. Should the youth be bothered about HIV/AIDS? Yes, because HIV/AIDS affects everyone regardless of age or positions of responsibility and cause death.
