Wow! That is all I could say when I first played this game. Banjo-Kazooie is as you probably all know, an adventure game by Rare. Some may call it a Mario 64 clone, but I think it is a game in a category all by itself. The story behind Banjo-Kazooie is as follows: An evil, and terribly ugly witch named Grunthilda, has captured Banjo's little sister Tooty.(I have to admit that these names are kind of lame)The witch kidnaps her because Grunthilda has just created a machine that can suck the beauty out of beautiful people (Tooty) and transfer the beauty to herself. Banjo and his friend Kazooie soon hears this and jumps to action, prepared to save his little sister. From there, is where the game starts off. The graphics in this game are gorgeous. Rare really looked deep into the N64 to

squeeze every bit of power out of it to create graphics that put Mario 64's to rest. All the backgrounds and enemies are in full 3-D making them appear to be almost real life. You will also notice the amount of effort that was put into the main characters as well. Put simply, the graphics are perfect! As far as control goes, I really can't complain. All the moves (and there are plenty of them) are easy to pull off once learned. As you progress through the game you will be taught each of the moves by Goggles the mole. Or you could just look in the instruction booklet. The sound FX and music are a pleasure to listen to. The music is very interesting, changing when in different locations. For example, say you(in the game) were walking on land, when all of a sudden you decide to take a dip in the water. Once submerged, the music sounds muffled, just as if you were listening to it while underwater. These little things make the game even more interesting. The characters voices are good, even though when they talk, it doesn't make sense. That's why there is dialouge boxes. Overall, the sound is brilliant. The replay value on this game is extremely high. Mainly because of all the things you have to find in order to proceed in the game. And the fact of the difficulty. I have to admit, it's a tough game. In closing, I have to say, that I am very pleased with Rare's newest masterpiece. Even though I have only played through the first 5 levels.(there are 10) I have played the game enough to realize that this is an excellent game with such minor flaws, that the game is literally perfect. BUY IT!!!!!

Pluses--------->The absolute, best graphics on the N64, extremely user-friendly control, kick-ass sounds, and one of the most challenging adveture games you'll ever play.

Minuses--------->Camera sometimes limits your best suited view.

I give this game 9 3/4 stars out of ten!!
