Somehow the scanner just didn't like to do the whole photo so you can't see the rest of us, but at least my daughter's outfit is visible! She's wearing just her blue kirtle and white chemise here since we were about to get in the car I didn't want to mess up the gown in the carseat.

(No, my son is not wearing his faire costume!!! :-) This is their Halloween picture.) My daughter is wearing her pink gown in this one, over the kirtle and chemise. The front of the skirt has lace and ribbon on the inside edge which is turned back and held in place with safety pins underneath. I sewed a string of fake pearl looking things around the neckline and did some blue embroidery around the arm holes. These trimmings are not exactly historically accurate (especially not for peasants!!) but I wanted to make her outfit pretty since it was also her Halloween costume.
