The Theta Mu Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi was founded October 19, 1986 at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC. There were three men with a vision of promoting leadership and enthusiasm in The Johnson C. Smith University Internaional Institution of Sound Marching Band. Under the guidance of our illustrious Director of Bands,

"The Emperor" Mr. Duncan C. Gray

These three outstanding bandsman were Sidney Taylor Sammons, Gregg Phillip Hankins, and Milton Roderick Robinson. Since then, the brothers of the Theta Mu chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi continue to uphold the ideals of our forefathers. As we are on an everlasting quest to "strive for the highest".
