Continental Championship Wrestling returned to their home base of Sharpsburg, NC's NEW Academy on December 1st with a great event headlined by two big tag team matches, and the debut of…The Independent Insiders!

To open the show, CCW promoter and producer of CCW television Tom Powell came out to the ring to greet the fans, but was interrupted by the familiar music of the Southside Playas. L.A. Ca$h made the intentions of the Playas clear and announced that they had come to CCW with one intention - the vacant CCW Tag Team Championships.

The first contest was an interesting battle between partners as Bradley and Ritchie, the Conceited Kids, went at it in spirited contest. Both men knew each other's moves well and this match featured many counters and innovative offensive moves. Both men kicked out of the other's finishers and it appeared Bradley was going to pick up the win after a five-star frog splash, until the Southern Connection hit the ring and attacked both Kids. They double-teamed Ritchie until Bradley got back to his feet and made the save, chasing both Tyler brothers off as the Conceited Kids embraced.

The next match-up was a three-way-dance that saw Kurt Solo in the unfamiliar role of babyface defeat Jamaica Joe and Duke Richards. Joe and Richards spent the majority of the match double-teaming Solo, until a miscommunication led to Duke decking Joe and walking out. This gave Solo the chance to nail the Solo Bomb on Joe and score the victory.

The CCW Heavyweight Champion Bounty Hunter cut a promo and brought out CCW Television Champion "Mr. Saturday Morning" Seven. "The Original Freak Show" Nemesis eventually followed and confronted his two former partners. He set up the main event by announcing that he had a mystery partner and they would face Seven and Bounty in a special tag team match, with both singles titles on the line. Bounty was adamant that Seven had better hold up his end of the team during the match.

The "alleged" CCW Cruiserweight Champion Enigma was out next to take on Redd, who was joined as always by Hell Mary. Redd controlled the bulk of the match-up and despite an ankle injury sustained late in the contest, battled back to score the victory.

In a battle of two spirited cruiserweight competitors, Leo Allure took on Willy G, accompanied by the lovely India. Leo used a variety of martial arts offense and impressive aerial tactics to gain the upperhand for much of the match. Leo's second attempt at a moonsault proved unsuccessful as Willy made it to his feet and crotched him on the top rope. Will climbed the top rope and hit a nice top-rope frankensteiner to get the pin. Good action, those who have not seen Willy G since ECPW would be impressed by his progress.

After a brief intermission, "Gorgeous" Corey Edsel took on Cold Cash. Cash used his strength to his advantage every chance he got, as Edsel tried to keep his powerful opponent on the match. Edsel took the air with a swank middle-rope flying legdrop, but only got a two count. Edsel also broke out the standing moonsault, but still could not keep Cold Cash down. Eventually, Cash was able to surprise the big man by reversing a vertical suplex attempt into an inside cradle for the three count.

Up next was the match for the vacant CCW Tag Team Championships as the Southside Playas took on the Roc Roberts led team of Knight Shift. This was an incredibly innovative contest, as both teams showcased innovative new maneuvers. At one point early in the contest, Ozz Knight dove off a 15-foot high balcony onto L.A. Ca$h as J-Money and Blaze were going at it in the ring. This kept Ca$h down for several moments and allowed the Knights a chance to double-team, though Ozz was feeling the effects of the dive as well. Eventually, the Playas took over on offense with the flapjack, their double sit-out sidewalk slam, and other signature spots, but were unable to put the Knights away. Even the usually calm J-Money eventually lost his cool at their inability to put down their opponents. Eventually, the Playas were going for 3P (the Playas Phat Phinish) on Blaze Knight, but Ozzy ran in and speared Ca$h, giving Blaze the chance to nail a DDT on Money as he was being held in position for the Phinish. Ozzy mounted the top rope and came off with a somersault senton onto Money to get the win and the belts. Great action, hot crowd, best match the two teams have had to date.

In the main event, both the CCW Heavyweight Title and CCW Television Title were on the line should either champion be pinned, as Bounty Hunter teamed with TV Champion Seven to face Nemesis and his mystery partner…the Psycho for Hire BAM BAM! Bam got right in Bounty's face, continuing their confrontation from Rider's. All four went at it hard in this one, with "Mr. Saturday Morning" Seven diving over the top rope onto both Bounty Hunter and Bam Bam on the floor. Nemesis then went up top and hit a picture perfect moonsault onto all three competitors on the floor. Back in the ring, the champions were able to control much of the match by taking Bam's leg out from under him. He eventually made the tag to Nemesis, who was over-powered by Bounty, but continued to fight back. A pier-six brawl erupted that saw Bam attempt the chokeplex on Seven. Bounty Hunter attempted to spear Bam and break up the move, but Bam saw him and put Seven in the path of the spear so that Bounty inadvertently nailed his own partner. It was then Bounty who got caught with the chokeplex, as Nemesis mounted the top rope. Nemesis flew off with a gorgeous frog splash onto Bounty Hunter to score the victory and win Bounty's CCW Heavyweight Championship, closing a great night of action. Bounty appeared to blame Seven for the loss after the match.

This was a very good show overall with good action throughout. The $outh$ides and Knight Shift had their best match to date and Nemesis looked great. I cannot get over the drastic change in Willy G. This guy could seriously become a major player in the future.
