Bushido Blade
Opening Statements
Bushido Blade is by far one of the most unique fighting
games we have seen. The realistic fighting arouses
curiosity. This game can offer a different experience if
you are used to the norm. With the huge arenas and the
exclusion of power bars, this game is based off opinion
although, it is one that any fighting game fan has to try
just because of the fact that it is not normal.

This game, in my opinion is slightly above average
for a
fighting game. I liked the change from the traditional
fighting style, such as the huge arenas, where in story
mode you can go anywhere. Also the fact that you can kill
an oponent in one slash is a totally new aspect of fighting
games. I also liked the skill that was involved in
blocking; how when you press block, your character only
raises his sword for about a second to block. In this game,
timing is almost everything. What I didn't like, was that
it was really hard to develope skill in this game, to make
the battles last longer than about ten seconds. The only
way to extend the duels, is to run away. I also
disliked
the number of characters. There is only six to start off
with, and you can get one secret character, at least. The
eight weapons that you can choose from increases the
variety of gameplay though, not a huge compensation. This
is a good game, but opinions may vary greatly, so I would
suggest renting this one first.

This game has to be one of the most unique games I
have
seen, but let's cut to the chase. You die TOO fast. I
mean, yeah, it seems at first like once you get skill, that
the matches will last long, but they really don't. You
find yourself playing over 100 matches in a period of
twenty minutes. There are some very good features
though,
like the ability to run around everywhere. This game has
even more 3D movement than tobal. It's like fighting in a
Tomb Raider level. The game also let's you choose from
different weapons, each of which have different attacks.
This game could've been really really good. Instead it
winds up being like an experiment for Bushido Blade 2,
which will be out soon. There are only six characters in
Bushido Blade, with the exception of one secret character.
This game is good if you want something different, but I'd
probably rent it first if you are a cautious buyer.

Bushido Blade is a refreshingly different
fighting
game. I was a little
bit doubtful at first, but the quality of the game really
shines through.
Whether you will love or hate this game really depends on
if you like this
sort of fighting game engine. You can't compare it to
anything, simply
because there is nothing else like it! The first time I
played this game I
was hooked. The lack of characters was well comphensated by
the amount of
different weapons to choose from for each character. It is
also fun to try
to master fighting with each different type of weapon. The
easiest way to
describe this game is Tomb Raider...........WITH A SWORD! I
loved this game,
but I cannot promise that you will. It all just depends on
your taste, like
all games.
