Poohisms |
Pooh knew what he meant,
but being a Bear of Very Little Brain, couldn't think of
the words. When you are a Bear of Very Little Brain, and you Think of Things, you find sometimes that a Thing which seemed Thingish inside you is quite different when it gets out into the open and has other people looking at it.
It's
so much more friendly with two. "You're
a real friend." he said.
Piglet
looked up, and looked away again. And he felt so Foolish
and Uncomfortable that he had almost decided to run away
to Sea and be a Sailor. Piglet
sidled up to Pooh from behind. "Pooh,
promise you won't forget about me, ever. Not
even when I'm a hundred." "Come
on!"

For us, to whom our childhood has
meant so much, the journey back is short, the coming and
going easy. -Christopher Milne; The Enchanted Places There are three ways in which a
writer knows about people: by remembering, by noticing,
and by imagining. There
are two sorts of writers. There is the writer who is
basically a reporter and there is the creative writer.
The one draws on his experiences, the other on his
dreams.
