"Justin...Justin we're almost here."
Justin opened one eye to see that the car was headed down a narrow country road with large pine and oak trees on each side of him. After a final bend, they reached a very large, white two story house. Lynn pulled the car over to the side of the drive way, and looked back, "Were here."
"I can see that." Justin shot back. Lynn looked away at her son's comment, hurt.
Justin turned and looked over at Chris. "Why are you doing this?" He asked innocently. "I thought you were my friend."
"Justin," Chris sighed, "your sick. You need help"
"I am not sick!" Justin sat back in his seat, betrayed, and savagely wipped the tears from his eyes.
After a few moments of scilence, Lynn gave out a shuddering sigh. "Its time to go Justin."
"I'm not going." Justin said forcefully. "I'm fine. Just take me home."
Lynn could hardly control the tears that thretened to spill over. "Justin, Please." JC reached over and rubbed Lynn's back supportingly.
"I'm legal, you know that. Even if you make me go, I can sign myself out."
Chis looked over at Justin, "You miss performing right?"
"Yeah." "Then the faster you get in there, the faster you get to performing." Chris tried to bribe him. He leaned over and whispered in his ear. "If you don't like it, I'll come and get ya buddy." Justin looked over at him with questioning eyes. "Seriously."
JC watched over in shock at Chris' actions. "Chris--"
"Oh come on JC, he's 18." Chris gave JC a sly wink. "So, are you up for it?"
Justin looked over and sighed unhappily. "Yeah." He followed everyone else's suit, made his way out of the car and into the massave lawn.
Teen-aged girls were spread through out the green grasses, a few of them looked up at the sound of the car door shutting, to see who the new visitor was. A older woman with dirty blonde hair looked up from a girl with a book. She smiled warmly and walked over to Justin.
"Hi, you must be Justin?" She walked up to him, and smiled at him with her warm grey eyes. Her face was friendly and marked with laugh lines and other wrinkles of age.
"Yeah." Justin replied quietly.
"Well, I'm Christine." She took this chance to look in Justin's sad eyes. "Whats wrong, sweetheart?"
Justin shook his head, wanting to dismiss the subject right away. Christine nodded her head knowing exatcly what he was thinking. She wrapped a warm eye around his shouders with comfort. "I'm going to talk a few things over with these guys," she pointed a finger twards Lynn, JC, and Chris. "You can go ahead and walk around to get more comfrotable." Justin nodded and took this chance to walk around in the warm Northern Florida sun.
As Justin walked around, he could feel the stares, and could hear the whispers of the girls that were outside. He hung his head low, ashamed of being the only male that was here.
"Oh...My...Gosh...Tina! LOOK!!"
Justin's head whipped up when he heard that voice. A rather tall blonde girl had a hand to her mouth and the other yanking on her friends shirt uncontrollably.
"Its...its...Justin...MY JUSTIN!" The blonde girl took off twards Justin. HER Justin?!
"Oh my gosh, I can't belive its you...TINA Come here!! I'm Mandy, I can't belive you actually got my letter. It has always been my dream to meet you!" Justin could feel the airheaded-ness in this girl's voice.
"Your Letter?"
"Uh-huh." She nodded uncontrollably. "Isn't that why your here?!"
"Uhm...No?"
"Justin!" He could hear Christine's voice in the distance. He started to turn and head on over twards her.
"Wait!!" Mandy grabbed Justin's bag, causing a side zipper open and the small baby-blue notebook inside tumble to the ground. "Justin! Wait! Your notebook..." Mandy picked the item up off of the grass, but she was too late and Justin was already by Christine, JC, Lynn, and Chris.
"Oh well!" She shrugged and tucked it under her arm and headed back over to Tina. "Hey Tina! You'll never guess who's here!!"
