Adam Lee Rosol's This was a good month for visiting things. We took Adam to the county fair, the NC Transportation & Train museum, and to a hot air balloon glow and fireworks show. We were also visited by Grandma and Grandpa Schwartz. Here's some pictures of him during his 31st month
" Happy birthday Pappap!" While Grandma and Granpa Schwartz visited, it was pappap's birthday. Adam was enlisted to bring the gifts to pappap.
" I love hugs" Pappap was happy enough with his gifts to give Adam a big hug when he was done opening them.
" I told you that you weren't too old to swing!." Grandma and grandpa Schwartz spend a few minutes swinging with Adam.
" Cool! Daddy got THE LORAX for his birthday, I've wanted that for a while" Daddy's birthday was September 3rd. Adam got to help him open gifts, and was impressed by a Dr Suess book that mommy bought him just for reading to Adam.
" Is this how the witch did it to Hansel and Gretel? " Another of Daddy's birthday gifts, a new 30 quart stainless steel pot for brewing beer, was tried on for size. An Adam stew is a distinct possibility.
" I hear the train a-coming, it's coming round the bend..." Forgive the Johnny Cash quote. We took Adam to the NC Transportation Mueseum in the town of Spencer, NC. Spencer is about 20 minutes from our home. The transportation mueseum is in an old railroad yard that has railroad cars, airplanes, antique cars, and a steam train for tours. Here, we're waiting for the steam train to take us for a ride.
" Can I ride the caboose? " The train hit the station, and here's Adam and Daddy standing in front of the caboose. This day, the caboose was closed to riders.
" But MOM, I don't want to sit here, I want to ride the train" It took a little while to get the train ready for loading, so mom and Adam waited on an old baggage platform.
" Much better. This old passenger car was just made for sipping milk" The train finally was ready to take us for a ride, and here Adam relaxes on the crushed velvet seats of yesteryears opulence with his sippy cup.
" I'm the engineer!" This isn't the same train, of course, this is a ride at the Iredell county fair.
" Let's go offroading, I want to live out one of those Jeep commercials!" Another ride at the fair, this one was a bunch of mini jeeps on tracks.
" Hi Mom!" Yet another ride at the county fair, here Adam waves to mommy from his motorcycle.
