“Amanda you ready to go?” Kevin called out to her
“yeah, just give me a sec” she said picking up a very special gift her parents gave to her, putting it in a bag and going down the stairs. The group was waiting fo her, she was very nervous and was a little off edge
“you ok?” Nick asked putting his arm around her, he could see she was very tense
“um..yeah” She said looking at him
“Amanda, I know this is hard, but if you need anyone to talk to, I know what your going through and I’m for you” Kevin said
“Thanks Kev” Amanda said shutting the front door and locking it. When they arrived at the cemetry all of Amanda’s family was there. People as far as Italy flew out for this, this was a very big thing for Amanda and her family.
When Amanda’s granmother approached her Amanda started talking Italian to her, telling her about her trip to Rome, and about Nick, and the rest of the boys. Amanda and her grandmother shared a very special bond, she was the only one Amanda kept in touch with after her family’s death. After explaining everything to her rather quickly she introduced everyone to her.
“and finally, grandmother, this is Nick” Amanda said taking Nick’s hand as her grandmother went over to kiss him on the cheek
“Its so nice to meet you...to meet all of you” she said. Then speaking in Italian to Amanda, she told her that she thought Nick was very cute. Amanda just laughed and agreed.
“well, were going to start soon, so you guys could take your seats, Nick and grandmother stay with me please” Amanda instructed
“you ok?” Nick asked
“yeah, it’s just that the people of my choice walk in when the ceremony starts”
“its a tradition” Amanda’s grandmother added
“ok” Nick said with a smile. As the ceremony started the preist invited Amanda, her grandmother, and Nick to come in. The preist said a pray for Amanda, and then for her parents and sisters in heaven, tears came down Amanda’s face as Nick peacfully wipped them away.
“I am sure there are people who have prepared speeches, so please feel free to come up” the priest said.
“you ready?” Nick asked
“I guess so” Amanda said getting up first kissing Nick then givning her grandmother a kiss on the cheek.
“morning everyone” Amanda started “I want to thank you all for coming, ok here it goes” Amanda said taking a piece of paper from her pocket and unfolding it “ on the way here I tried to add as much as I could to this blank sheet of paper, and I realized words can’t express what my sisters and parents meant to me.” she then out a scuplture of an angel “my parents gave this to me as a gift, they told me once I became famous they wanted me to keep it in my dressing room, I never understood what the angel was for, now I realize more than ever its for guidance, something my parents always gave me. When my family was killed I had no where to turn, my best friend Kim took me in, but I still didn’t feel that kind of love, or guidance my family supported me with. I want to say thank you to the Smith family for taking me in, and making me part of their family. Next I want to thank five very special guys, Brian, AJ, Kevin, Howie and my boyfriend Nick. These five men have helped me through so much, no one ever asked them to help me out, but they did. If it wasn’t for them I probably wouldn’t have showed up. I see so much of my family in them, they help me with everything and show me the love and guidance closest to what my family gave me, and I want to thank them for that” she said crying “I guess all I want you to know is that my family were the most loving, caring, and sensitive people I knew, I love them so much, and I hope you can share that love with me, yes a tradegy did pull us apart but I like to think someday we will be together again, so I just hope tonight in your prays your say hi to my parents and sisters or thank them for everything they’ve ever done..Thank you” Amanda said stepping down from the podem, for some reason everyone started clapping, you could hear sobs from some people, especially Amanda, but as she walked back to her seat she didn’t think she got the point across how special her parents were. As she sat down Nick took her hand, as Amanda kissed him.
