“can you come with me for a walk?”
“yeah, I’d love to” Amanda said with a smile “Kim I’ll be back in a few"
“but...alright bye” Kim said kinda upset because she didn’t want to be left with AJ but she didn’t want to make her friend suffer.
“So, whats up?” Amanda asked
“oh, nothing just wanted to have some time alone with you” Nick said kissing Amanda
“well good cuz theres something I need to tell you” Amanda said holding Nick’s hand walking him over to a small bench in front of a pond with a beautiful fountain in the middle
“you ok? Whats wrong?”
“nothing, I just need to explain myself about something”
“ok?! go ahead” Nick said very confsued
“ok” Amanda took a breath “ok, Everytime we talk on the phone or wite letters, or see each other, you always say I love you, and I’m really not sure if you mean it or not, but I need to explain why I don’t say it back”
“Amanda, I do love you and what ever the reason you don’t say it back is fine” Nick interrupted
“wait, let me just explain, I’ve never said I love you because anyone that I’ve ever said I loved I’ve lost, my whole family is gone, and I think thats the reason why I’m afraid to say it. I loved my family, and I would tell them or show them that I did, so once they died I was afraid to love again, because I was afraid I would lose that person to, but today I need to do something important”
“Amanda it’s fine, don’t worry sweetie”
“Nick, no, I love you, I really do, with all my heart and soul, and there’s no one, I mean no one, on this earth I’d rather be with, I want to live the rest of my life with you, I’ve never been able to love anyone since the death of my parents....until now, you opened my eyes, and I can see true love now, I can feel it, I know that I am truely in love, and I never want to stop telling you, or showing you how much I love yuo” Amanda said as tears came down her face
“aw sweetie,” Nick said kissing her , “I love you” he whispered in her ear
“I love you to” he got up and picked her up, spinning her around he then stopped and looked into her eyes “Amanda, everything you just said I feel the same way, and I got something to show you” he then took a small box out Amanda was kinda startled “ no it’s not what your thinking” Nick laughed, “listen this is a promise ring, wear it always, its almost like a wedding ring, but its different” he said slipping it on “well, I’d like to consider this a marriage ring, no it dosn’t mean we’re getting married tomorrow, but I want you to wear this, it mean’s we definetly will get married, not tomorrow, not 3 days from now, not 3 months from now...when we both think we’re ready”
“Nick, thats the sweetest thing” Amanda said wipping away more tears as Nick kissed her
“come on, come with me” Nick took her hand and led her to a larger pond with a bridge, he took her over the the small wooden bridge were they just stood as Nick had his arms wrapped around Amandas waist tightly, as they watched the sun go down. The two of them must have been just standing there together for almost two and a half hours when Nick realized that they are suppose to go out in an hour
“sweetie, we better get going inside so we can get ready”
“ok” Amanda said kissing him. The two walked hand in hand together. When they got in to the main lobby Brian was standing there with Kailin
“hey were have you two been?”
“just went for a walk”
“hey Kailin!!” Amanda said walking over to her to give her a hug
“hey Amanda, how have you been”
“I’m good, but sorry to cut you off, can we chat later, I really gotta go get ready”
“yeah sure, go ahead, we’ll chat at dinner”
“sounds great” Amanda said as the elevator door opened and a familiar person was standing in there.
