Chapter 8 (short chapter for a short story)
As usual, the women in the household were the last to be ready. The guys and myself all sat in the den, while Aaron played a video game. Caitlin was busy doing Angel's hair upstairs. I told the guys about Caitlin and I, which was kind of stupid of me because I knew I would be teased non stop. But I didn't care. I was on Cloud Nine and was loving it.
"You ready?" my Mom asked us as Caitlin and Angel walked into the living room. Angel was riding piggyback as Caitlin smiled.
"Yup," I said, taking my place next to Caitlin.
"Awwww," the guys said. I flushed a deep crimson and Caitlin did the same.
"What?" my mom asked.
"You didn't hear? Nick and Caitlin are in LOOVVEE," AJ exaggerated, causing me to blush even more.
"Anyway," I said, changing the subject, "where do you want to go today?" I asked while buckling my seat belt in the van.
"How about the Backstreet Market?" Caitlin suggested.
"What's that?" Brian drawled.
"It's a place me and Nick go to all the time. It has some cool stores, too." Caitlin said. We all agreed on the Backstreet Market and I didn't realize I was holding Caitlin's hand until AJ pointed it out to me. It just came natural to me. We spent all day, shopping, completely unaware of the time.
"We better head home," my mom said. It was a shame we had to drop Caitlin off at her house on the way home. I was hoping that we could have hung out or something at my pool or something. In a matter of minutes, we were at her house and being the perfect gentleman I am, (hehe) I walked her to the door. I gave her a quick hug before she disappeared into her house.
When we got home, we were all eager for some food, so my dad made us some hamburgers and hot dogs to eat. Little did I know that my life would change in a matter of days.

"Guess what?" I said to Caitlin over the phone after dinner.
"What?"
"We thought of a name for the group!" I said excitedly.
"Really?? What is it?" she asked.
"Remember how we wanted to have 'Boys' in it?"
"Yea.." "Well, we came up with 'Backstreet Boys' from the Backstreet Market."
"Wow! That is so cool!" Caitlin exclaimed. We talked for hours until my mom came and told me that it was time to go.
"I'll see you tomorrow, OK Caitlin?" I asked.
"Yea, Nick. See ya."
