~*~*Chapter 7*~*~
After they got done eating their donuts, they sat down to watch a movie. He looked in the TV guide.
"Nothing," he remarked, disappointed.
"Here's one. How about Ghost? It was my roomates, but I never got around to watching it.
"Sounds like fun. Come and sit. He patted the couch and motioned for her to sit down.
~~~~~~~~
Tears were rolling down Heather's cheeks by the end of the movie. Brian was trying to hold back his tears. He looked at her.
"Oh, c'mon. It wasn't THAT bad," he said sarcastically.
"Yea right." She punched him playfully in the arm.
"Hey!" He punched her back. Just as she was raising her arm to return his punch, Brian grabbed her wrist and pulled her closer to him. He pressed his lips against hers.
"Brian," she whispered.
"I'm sorry," Brian whispered huskily. He pushed her hair back behind his ear. He kissed her again with all of the yearning that had been kept inside of him all day. She did the same. Her hands ran through his hair, while his explored her back. They pulled away slowly.
"I have been wanting to do that all day," Brian whispered. Thunder ran through the house and rattled the windowpanes.
"Oh, shit! My windows!" Brian remembered that his car windows were open. He got up off the couch and grabbed the keys with Heather hot on his trail.
They ran into the heavy rain and quickly put his windows up. They were dripping wet. By this time the hail was coming down the size of golf-balls. They sat in the car, just watching the rain pour.
"Looks like we'll be here for a while, " Heather said.
"Yea, better grab a Snickers®." Brian replied. Heather laughed.
"C'mon," Brian said as he crawled into the backseat. Heather climbed over the seat and sat back. She was tired. They had had a long day.
"Brian, I'm tired. Can I lay down?"
"Sure." Brian looked tired himself. He enveloped her into a bear-hug and they fell asleep soundly in the back of Brian's car.
~*~*Chapter 8*~*~
Heather rolled over on her side.
"Morning, sleepyhead," Brian said groggily. Heather looked around, trying to remember where she was. She looked over at Brian. He looked so cute in the morning. He stretched. In the middle of the night, Brian had watched Heather's angelic face. He had listened to her rhythmic breathing. What was going on between them? Whatever it was, Brian liked it. His lips still tingled from their lingering kiss they had shared the night before.
"Looks like we better go in," Heather said yawning.
"Good idea." Brian crawled out of the car, and reached to help Heather out.
"Hey," Brian said, giving her a kiss.
"Hi." She kissed him again. Brian wrapped his arms around her waist when a car pulled up into the parking lot.
"Hey girl!" Monica's cheery voice filled the atmosphere, causing Brian and Heather to reluctantly stop kissing.
"Hey, Mon!" Heather looked at Brian while he tried to compose himself. She cleared her throat.
"Monica, I would like you to meet Brian. Brian, this is Monica."
"Pleased to meet you," Monica said.
"Pleasure's all mine," Brian replied. They spent 10 minutes talking outside in the heat.
"Heather, I just came to tell you that I won't be able to meet you for lunch again today," Monica said. Heather nodded.
"It's ok, I don't think I'd be able to make it anyway," Heather answered back, glancing at Brian. Brian was biting his nails and looking at the grass. Just then Monica's beeper went off.
"I gotta go. Nice meeting you, Brian." With that, Monica drove away.
~~~~~~
"Aah, fresh air." Brian chimed in delight.
"Ditto." Heather ran her hands through her hair.
"Brian, I need to take a shower. Badly." Brian nodded.
"OK. I'll watch some TV. See ya!"
