~*~*Chapter 1*~*~
Thump.
"Ouch", mumbled Heather as she fell with a thump onto the floor. She took a big stretch and looked at the clock. 11:26. She had said, actually promised, her best friend Monica to meet her for lunch. With all of her might, she trudged into the shower.
She let the water turn to steam before she realized she had to go. She quickly dried herself off and dabbed on some make-up. With that, she grabbed her keys and headed to lunch.

As usual, Monica was late. Heather smiled to himself. She could always count on Monica to be late. She decided to order some lunch. She walked to the buffet and grabbed a plate. Heather was unusually hungry. She filled her plate with some strawberries and a bagel. She was filling her cup with Pepsi ® when all of a sudden somebody pushed her from behind. "Oh!" Heather gasped. Her Pepsi was now all over her white shirt. She looked up and she was instantly drawn to those deep blue eyes that were boring into hers.

~*~*Chapter 2*~*~
"I'm so sorry!" the blue-eyed stranger said. His face was covered with concern.
"It's ok," Heather said, reaching for some napkins and drying herself.
"Geez, I'm so clumsy. I didn't mean it, honestly,
" he also reached for some napkins and dried the floor.
"Don't worry about it," Heather replied. She couldn't help but notice how gorgeous he was. He had a deep-Southern drawl that fitted him well. They finished wiping the floor in silence. She felt his eyes on her. Her face flushed a deep crimson.
"I'm Brian," he said after a while. He stuck out his hand.
"I'm Heather," she replied to his hand and returned the shake. They stood there in awkward silence until some people behind them yelled at them to move out of the way. She sat down at her table. Brian turned and started to walk away when Heather said, "Why dont you join me since you knocked over half of my lunch?" She smiled, flashing him dentists' ideal teeth.
"I may just take you up on that offer," he said ruefully. She watched him as he opened his Snapple® and take a sip. His beauty took his breath away.
"So what brings you to Florida? I dont see you a lot around here." She asked him. I'm not around here a lot. You know, bigger and better places to go, people to see."
"Yeah, I get ya. "
"Why are you here?" he was questioning her now.
"Well, actually, I just graduated from college about 3 weeks ago."
"Thats cool. What did you major in?"
She laughed. "I actually changed it a lot. I was going to major in pharmacy, but when I found out I had to go through even MORE college, I decided against that. So I decided to major in fashion."
"Wow." They spent about an hour talking about nothing. Before they knew it, it was 2:00. Monica never showed.
""Well, Brian. It was nice meeting you, but I have to go find my friend Monica. She was supposed to meet me here at 12:00."
"Looks like a no-show, huh?" he smiled, leaving Heather weak in the knees.
"We should talk another time. It was fun."
"Yeah, I know. How about we do it again? Tomorrow at 7?" he had a pleasing look on his face. How could she refuse?
"Sure, here's my number. Call me." With that, she left him at the table with a look of reassurance on his face.

BRIAN
Brian watched her walk through the doors into the Florida sunshine. "What a day," he mused to himself. He had just met the most amazing woman he had ever seen.
"I never believed in love at first sight, but everything got clearer now. He didn't know how to bring up the Backstreet Boys, however. He wanted her to know the REAL Brian Littrell, not the Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell. He didn't want to ruin what they had, if they even had something. He loved it when she smiled. Her face had brightened the room. He looked at the number scrawled on the napkin. "636-1024," it read.
"Well, it looks like I've got some business to take care of," he said as he strolled out the door and into his car. He turned on the radio and sang all the way home.
