~*~Chapter 4~*~
Everyone was hanging out at Lianne's apartment, except Nick, mainly because he didn't want to make Ali feel uncomfortable in any way.
"Everyone must be so hungry and tired after such a long recording session!" Lianne commented.
"Well I got everyone's favorite foods!"
"Ooo goody," Brian said, smiling.
"I have macaroni and cheese for you, Brian, homemade!" Lianne said, proudly. "I have McDonald's fries for AJ..heehee," she started saying. "Peanut butter and crackers for Kev, and salsa for my baby."
"Thanks Lianne, you're the greatest," the guys answered.
"Then last, but not least, I have pizza squares for Ali and Nick to share..." she looked around the room. "Wait a minute, where's Nick?"
Ali ran into the corner and started crying hysterically.
She wanted to appear strong by not crying, but the tears just poured out.
"Ali.....?" Lisa asked. "What happened?"
"I was scared that my relationship with Nick was getting too serious, so I said maybe we needed a break from the relationship. But I really didn't mean it, it just felt like the best thing to do.."Ali blurted out.
"Then why'd you say that?" Fiona asked.
Ali stared at her for the longest time, then she spoke. "I've had bad luck in love and I thought that if it got too serious between Nick and I, that he would someday find someone better and leave me one day." Ali admitted.
"You know Nick would never do that to you." AJ said.
"I guess." Ali said.
"So what are you waiting for? Go get your honey back!" Lianne said.
"You guys are right! I need Nick. I'm going back to his place to make up with him!"
"You go girl!" AJ laughed.
Ali left Lianne's apartment and went up three floors to Nick's apartment. She had a key so she just used it and walked right in.
Ali walked behind Nick's couch, hoping to sneak up behind him and kiss him on the back of the head. Instead, she peered over the couch to find Nick kissing another girl.
Ali ran out of the apartment with tears streaming down her face.
"Ali........?! Wait!!!!" Nick called, but it was too late.
Nick raced toward the elevator.
"Ali, it's not what you think...I.." He tried to get to the elevator before the doors closed, but they shut in his face by the time he reached the elevator.
Ali raced to her apartment after the elevator reached her floor. She grabbed her coat and headed toward the park.
She sat by the pond and skipped stones to let out some of her anger as tears flowed down her face.
Just then, she heard a familiar voice from behind.
"Leigh, honey, I'll be right back, I need to get something from the car," Brian said to Leighanne.
"Alright, don't take too long, I'll miss you," she called back.
Leighanne looked around making sure Brian was too far to hear what she was saying.
Ali peered around the tree she was leaning against and saw Leighanne was with two friends. Ali didn't mean to eavesdrop, but she couldn't help overhearing.
"Can you believe how perfect this is, girls? He's so in love with me, so blinded by my little act that he thinks I actually care about him! I can tell he'll do anything I want him to! Yes girls, I'm on my way to superstardom! He'll make me a supermodel in no time, and then I can finally dump him!" Leighanne laughed. [author's note: I don't have anything bad to say about Leighanne in real life,because she seems really nice, so no hate mail please!, but every story needs a bad guy, right?"]
'I have to tell Brian!' Ali thought to herself. She couldn't believe what she had just heard. Now she understood why all her friends had always given Leighanne suspicious glares.
Ali ran over to a bench Brian was walking towars and waved to be sure Brian would see her.
"Hey Ali! What's up? Did you work things out with Nick?" Brian questioned.
"No..."Ali blurted out. She started crying again.
"Oh my gosh, what's wrong?" he asked as he put his arms around Ali.
"I really don't feel like talking about it right now,"Ali cried,"but I never want to speak to him again...Now Brian, I have something very important to tell you."
She told him all about what she heard Leighanne saying.
"I don't believe a word of it!!" Brian yelled at her, "You're just upset because things didn't work out for you and Nick, that's all!! I know Leighanne really loves me and that's all that matters. Now go away, go home, continue feeling sorry for yourself, and keep out of my business!!!"
Ali ran off crying again.
Brian slowly walked towards Leighanne. Her back was turned towards him.
"This is a no fail plan! He'll make me a supermodel, and he's so stupid, that by the time I'm famous, when he finds out that I've been using him, it'll be too late!" Leighanne cackled.
"But that's where you're wrong," Brian declared.
"Brian.....?! Oh my gosh.......I can explain...see...um..."
"I can't believe after us being together for more than a year, I mean nothing to you. I can't believe you would stoop so low as to use me! Leave me and my friends alone. Now get out of my sight. You disgust me!" Brian shouted.
"Hmph..you'll be sorry. You're never gonna find someone like me."
"You're right about that, I'll never find someone as horrible as you, I'm happy to say." he said.
Then Brian pulled off Leighanne's rings, earrings, bracelets, necklace, and tore off her long silk and fake leopard fur Anna Sui designer dress, and took the Steve Madden shoes off her feet.
"I gave you all these gifts out of love and the kindness in my heart, but it has now become clear that you have no love or kindness in your heart, you just use people to get what you want. These gifts are suited for a princess, but you are nothing more than a cold-hearted ungrateful, spoiled brat! Good day, Miss Wallace."
After accomplishing that, Brian picked up all the gifts he had given her and trotted off to Ali's apartment to try and patch things up.
