~*~*Chapter 27*~*~
The days and nights were very lonely without Brian. He wrote to her as often as he could, but nothing personal. He tried to call her as much as he could also, but he spoke to her very briefly, maybe actually having a conversation with her maybe once a week.
Monica had taken Heather out a few times, whether it was to the movies or clubbing. Her family even came to spend a few days with her. Every night she looked at a picture of her and Brian. It was taken at the graduation. He looked so cute in his suit. Heather longed to be held in his arms. The first 2 weeks without him was rough; she had cried herself to sleep every night. Then she started to deal with the pain. She actually kept herself busy by talking to the fans. Her phone number was found over the Internet, so the fans had called her nonstop. Some of them were actually pretty nice, especially a girl named Emily. She loved Nick and wanted Heather to let Nick know. Emily's phone calls kept her busy. The phone rang, but Heather let the machine get it, figuring it was some crazed-fan. Besides, she was too tired, anyway.
"Hey, Heather, it's me," Brian's voice filled the air.
"Brian!" Heather exclaimed, picking up the phone.
"Heather, I miss you so much!" Brian gushed.
"Only three more weeks, honey" Heather said, looking at the graduation picture.
"I know, I'm counting the days. I can't talk long. I just wanted to hear your voice and tell you I love you." Brian said.
"Oh, I love you too! Where exactly are you right now?" Heather asked.
"Backstage at a show in Germany," Brian's voice became muffled over the crowd's screaming.
"Heather! I have to go on now. Wish me luck!" Brian said and hung up the phone.
"Only three more weeks....." Heather said to herself.
~*~*Chapter 28*~*~
Three weeks past by slowly. Eventually it was August 27, the day that Heather had been waiting for all summer long. Brian was coming home! She anticipated his return. He called the night before to remind her to meet him at the Orlando Airport at Gate 27A around 12:00. It went without saying that there would be fans there. Tons, in fact! The U.S. Tour would be starting a week after they got back from Hawaii. Heather often wondered what would happen while they were in Hawaii together-alone. Just the thought of being on an island made her heart beat faster.
She finished getting ready and hopped in her Toyota Tercel and sped to the airport.
As promised, the place was packed with eager fans. She took a deep breath and stepped out of her car. A few girls started screaming when they saw her because they knew who she was.
"Heather?" said a girl's familiar voice. Heather turned around and peered at a girl through her sunglasses.
"Hi," Heather said.
"It's Emily," the girl said.
"Oh! Emily!" Heather said. She reached out and hugged her. Over one of their phone calls, Emily had mentioned that she was going to the airport when they boys arrived back home. Emily took a few pictures with Heather. Emily glanced at her watch. It was 11:55. They would be here in a few minutes.
"Looks like I've got to go. Let's keep in touch," Emily said, walking away.
"No, wait!" Heather screamed, drawing attention around her.
"Come with me," Heather said, dragging Emily and her friends inside the airport.

After a lot of explaining, she managed to get the girls inside so that they could see the boys when they walked in. The girls were very excited. They didn't even notice Brian's family walk in behind them. Heather gave his family quick hugs before introducing them to Emily and her friends. They screamed when they realized who it was. Pretty soon, Nick's family arrived. They were all huddled together, so they didn't notice a plane descending from above.
