Chapter 5
Brian spent the rest of the evening watching TV with Nick and Monica. They left around 10:30 to go back to Monica's place, and his family and Heather's family had already gone back to the hotel a while ago, so Brian and Heather were left alone. He quickly locked the door and turned off all the lights and quietly went up to bed. When he walked in, he saw Heather's restless body sprawled out on her back, with the covers on the floor. He laughed and shook his head.
"There ya go..." he said, pulling the covers from the floor and put them up to her waist. He gave her a kiss on the cheek and then headed downstairs, with a blanket and pillow in hand, ready for a night on the couch.

"Here we are!" Monica said as they pulled into her driveway.
"Yup." Nick said. They walked silently up to the house. After Monica unlocked the door and they both went inside, her hand reached for the light switch, but Nick's arms encircled her waist, and he pulled her in for a nice, passionate kiss.
"Mmm, what was that for?" Monica asked as they pulled apart.
"Last night. It was like magic," Nick said sincerely.
"Anytime," Monica said with a smile
"Anytime, that is...." Nick said and scooped Monica up in his arms and carried her upstairs to her room. He laid her gently on the bed and crawled on top of her.
"Mon, I love you," he said, stroking her cheek.
"Nick, just shut up and kiss me," she said, and rolled them over so she was in the dominant position.

A bead of sweat dribbled down Heather's face as she slowly sat up in bed, trying to get her eyes accustomed to the dark. She rolled over and plopped her arm down onto empty space; a space where her fiance should have been sleeping.
"Brian?" she called out into the darkness. She walked into the bathroom and grabbed the bathrobe to cover her half-naked body. She walked downstairs and saw Brian, sound asleep on the couch. She smiled, love feelings deep with within her heart.
"Brian?" she whispered. No answer. She went over next to the couch and sat on her knees. She leaned in and gave him a soft kiss on his lips. His eyes slowly fluttered open.
"Hey, you. You're up!" Brian said, sitting up so she could sit next to him.
"Yea. Why are you sleeping on the couch?" she asked.
"I didn't want to wake you up. You looked so peaceful," he stated.
"You didn't have to sleep down here, you know," she reminded him.
"Yea, but I love you. So, are you feeling any better?" Brian asked, and kissed her neck.
"Yea, a lot better now."
"Do you need to see a doctor?" he asked.
"No, I have an appointment the day before the wedding."
"That's the day we move into the new house," Brian remembered.
"I know, the appointment is later, around 5:30." She said.
"Oh, ok then. I don't know about you, but I am extremely tired. Wanna go to bed?" Brian asked with a yawn.
"Yea. G'night, Brian. I love you," she said, and kissed him on the lips. Before they knew it, both of them were fast asleep in each others arms on the couch.

"Brian said that him and the rest of the guys would start packing today," Mrs. Littrell said as she and Mrs. Mason walked up to Heather's apartment. Mr. Littrell and Mrs. Mason joined them, ready for their expected day of packing. The four of them unlocked the door with the spare key, and their eyes landed on Brian and Heather, asleep on the couch.
"Aw, should we wake them?" Mrs. Littrell whispered.
"Yea, we need to start packing ASAP," Mr. Littrell said. She nodded.
"Hey, guys. Wake up," she said. Brian stirred slightly, but neither of them woke up. Jackie gently shook them.
"What are you guys doing here?" Brian asked sleepily. Heather awoke by the sound of Brian's voice. She looked around, still half asleep.
"Call Nick and the rest of the guys and tell them to be over here around 1 to help with the packing, ok?" Mr. Littrell instructed.
"Nick knows to be here, and I'll call the rest of the guys later. First, I have to take a shower," Brian said.

"Nick, I love you," Monica said later that night as she laid in Nick's arms.
"I love you, too" he said. He laid down into Monica's bed and pulled her closer to his chest, just enjoying the moment. After a few minutes of silence, a sigh escaped Monica's lips.
"What?" Nick asked. He took a piece of her shoulder length brown hair and twirled it in her fingers.
"Don't you wish that time will stand still, Nick?" she asked, looking up at his face. Without thinking, he reached over and pulled the plug from her alarm clock, so that it was blinking 12:00.
"It is now," he said, before enveloping her into his arms and showering her with kisses.

"Where's Nick?" AJ asked while putting away tons of old junk into another box.
"Bri said he'd be here around 1," Kevin said.
"Well, what time is it?" Howie interjected.
"2:30." Kevin said, looking at his watch.
"I'll tell Heather to call," Brian said, He walked over to Heather who was busy packing the China. Brian didn't want her to do any heavy work, so he stuck her with this task.
"Heath, can you do me a big favor?" Brian asked.
"Yea, what is it?" she asked. She looked up at him and smiled.
"Can you call Nick for me? I think they went to Monica's last night. Thanks, honey," he said, giving her a kiss.
"No problem, sweetie." She said. She grabbed the cordless phone and dialed seven numbers.
"Hello?" Monica asked. Heather could tell that she had woken her up.
"Monica, do you have any idea what time it is?" Heather asked. Monica picked up Nick's sleeping hand and read his watch.
"2:30."
"Yea. Weren't you supposed to come over around 1 to help pack?" Heather reminded her.
"Oh yeah! We'll be right over!" Monica said and hung up.
