Loving you: Always and Forever

~*~*Chapter 1*~*~

Brian Littrell tossed and turned in bed in mid-July. He looked over at his sleeping fiance, Heather Mason, thinking to himself how lucky he was. Heather had been through a lot that day, from passing out at Disney's Magic Kingdom and also learning she was pregnant. They had been together a little over a year, and he loved her very much. That's why he was ecstatic when she told him the news. That's all he thought about that night. In nine months, he would have a little baby of his own. He would be a daddy. With Heather. He sighed and got out of bed and wandered into the kitchen. He poured himself a nice, cold glass of water and sat down at the table. Brian sat there, drinking his water until he saw a dim figure standing before him.

"Hey you," he said and placed a kiss on her cheek.

"Hey. What's the matter? Couldn't sleep?" she asked him and rubbed his back.

"Yea. How you feeling?" he asked.

"Fine," she replied with a smile.

Heather thought back to the day that they had accidentally bumped into each other. It was love from the beginning. Now, a year and three months later, they were getting married and expecting a baby. The baby made Heather so happy. The only scary part was her parents' reaction, not to mention Brian's.

"How do you think they're going to react?" Heather asked outloud. She looked at Brian.

"I guess we'll see tomorrow," Brian said as they walked up the stairs, back to bed.

Heather awoke to the sound of banging pots and pans coming from the kitchen.

' Oh no, Nick must be cooking again, ' she thought to herself as she made her way downstairs.

"Morning, guys," she said to Brian, Nick Carter, and her best friend Monica Sullivan.

"Nick TRIED to make you some breakfast...." Monica said and looked at her boyfriend. Heather laughed at Nick's attempts to make some bacon and eggs.

"But, we knew he would fail so I ran out and bought some donuts," Brian said and pointed to the box on the table. Nick mumbled something barely audible under his breath. Heather sat down at the table and dug into her donuts.

"So how are you going to tell the rest of them?" Monica asked, referring to AJ McLean, Kevin Richardson and Howie Dorough.

"Brian called them last night," Heather said.

Just then, the front door opened and in came The Littrell Family along with the Mason family. Heather grabbed hold of her stomach, even though no baby could be seen. They were there for about an hour when Brian gave Heather the 'OK' to tell them. "OK,OK. Listen up!" Brian announced and stood in the front of the room. Heather stood by his side, praying to God that everything went smooth. Heather put on a fake smile and took a deep breath.

"Well," Brian continued, "in about nine months we welcome a new member into our family," Brian said to everyone. Heather crossed her fingers behind her back. She looked over at her mother, who's eyes were clouded over with tears, as well as her father's.

"Really? I'm gonna be an aunt?" Heather's 11 year old sister, Danielle, exclaimed.

"Yea, Danielle," Heather said as Danielle gave her a hug.

"Heather, congratulations," her mother said and walked over to her, her and her daughters tears mixing together as they hugged. Pretty soon the whole room was filled with emotion. Everyone had tears in their eyes, including Nick, even though he didn't want to admit it.

"Are you positive you're pregnant?" her dad asked.

"Well, I haven't gotten my period on three months, Dad," she said.

"You sure you had it, but just not notice it?" he asked. Heather laughed.

"They took some tests yesterday at the hospital. They have an appointment for me today at 2:15," Heather replied.

"Well, I suggest that we celebrate!" Mrs. Littrell exclaimed. Pretty soon, they all left for breakfast.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"You didn't order a lot," Brian said to Heather as they sat in the waiting room on the maternity floor in the hospital. He was right. She wasn't really hungry for breakfast.
"I know, but I am starving now,' she said with a growl of her stomach.
"I can tell!" Brian laughed.
"Heather Mason?" the nurse called into the waiting room.
"Oh, yes," she said and her and Brian stood up. Brian held her hand.
"The doctor is ready for you," she said, and led them into the office of Dr. Moore. They walked in and sat down in the chairs before Dr. Moore's desk. A few minutes later, the doctor appeared.
"Good afternoon, I'm Dr. Moore," he said, shaking their hands. Brian noticed that the doctor was somewhat nervous. He wondered if Heather thought the same way.
"Aah, let's see....Heather Mason, is it?" he asked. "Yea, that's me," she said. She squeezed Brian's hand as the doctor looked at Heather's tests results. There was an eerie silence.
"Congratulations! You're pregnant," Dr. Moore said with a smile. He watched as Heather's face glowed with excitement.
"Thanks so much!" she exclaimed. She looked over at Brian, who was still holding her hand and she saw that he had the same face on as she did. The doctor typed some information into his computer and waited for the screen to load.
"Your baby is due on January 4, and it was conceived on May 8," Dr. Moore told them. May 8. Their anniversary. How could she ever forget their anniversary. Brian had brought her to a basketball game, only to declare his love for her over the scoreboard.
"Now, follow me," Dr. Moore said, and led them into another room. He played with some machines, until the machines finally went out of control, flying in every direction. He breathed a sigh of relief when they were back to normal.
"Now, if you would take off your clothes and hop up on here we can have you out of here in no time," Dr. Moore said, and patted the seat.
"I'll wait in the waiting room," Brian said and turned to walk away.
"Oh no no no. You are staying right here with me," Heather whispered and obeyed the doctors instructions.
