All right, you have some questions; What is this? you're wondering. Well it's your new website. Who am i? Well, i'm a student, I go to the University. What do I know about Sackville? Quite a bit, though probably not as much as you. So here's the deal: you take control.
What are you taking over? Good question. The short answer is, your life. The long answer is: this website, organizing and campaigning for your own drop-in center, representing yourself in municipal politics, and getting some respect. Don't worry, you'll have help. That's what this website is for.
As you can tell, this site looks like shit. It needs work. For now, what we need is:
• People who want to create opportunities for kids in Sackville.
• People who want to see a Youth and Drop-In center materialize in this town.
• People who are interested in drafting a survey for this end, and in carrying it out.
• Web designers (Basic HTML training provided).
• University students, teachers and local members of the community who are interested in helping out.

These are the distinguished members of the Sackville Youth Center. Don't recognize them? That's because they live in Nova Scotia. You know, the other Sackville. What they've done there is going to be what we're going to do here, providing you guys want to take some initiative.
Take a look at their website. You can find it at: www.syonline.ns.ca. It might give you some ideas but you don't have to like 'em.
What you want to do, is organize. Trust me when i say you'll get a lot further when what you want to say is polished. It actually matters more than what you're saying. It's the difference between having people listen to what you say, and getting arrested for "disturbing the peace", "vandalism" or "loitering". You choose. It's not fair, but welcome to the system: It works for all the most powerful interests. Try to fight it, and it will win every time. You've got to remember it's a lot older than you are and it will outlive you. Learn to work through it and you can accomplish a lot more for the things you believe in and the things you want to change.
