BOB'S 1972 PLYMOUTH ROAD RUNNER

This is Bob's 1972 Plymouth Road Runner. Powered by a 1970 383hp, bored out .030 over, 12.5:1 Keith Black pistons, 440 steel crank, 906 heads polished and ported, triple angle valve job, heavy duty springs, chrome molly retainers, oversize intake valves, a .590 lift 360 duration purple camshaft. Wieand tunnel ram with 2 Edelbrock 650 cfm carbs. Bob had his motor built at MOPAR CITY in Oregon Illinois.  A 747 trans with cobalt and kevlar clutches, full manual valve body, and a 3200-stall converter. A Mopar 8 3/4" rear end with 3:90 gears. This is original paint, sure it's been touched up here and there but for the most part this is original paint. This car hails from California. Originally this was a 400ci. with a 4-speed trans (only 2800 made). When Bob bought this car it had the 383ci. in it with the automatic transmission. This is a real strong running car (low 11's). However it would be worth a lot more if it was original.  Bob drives his car regularly. Like most of us we really enjoy the looks and comments we receive. Bob has owned this car for 5 years; it is still in the restoration stage. Bob is now working on restoring the interior. It's not bad but like most older cars it needs some restoration. Bob has plans to tub this car and put on a custom paint job. We can't wait to see the finished product. Hopefully he will have it done by the next show. Nice car Bob.
