PARTS EXPLANATION

For all of you who don't know much about that a computer part does, you will learn now. I will list parts and explanations next to
them.
Motherboard (MOBO): The Motherboard is the large circuit board that everything connects into, like the base, every process goes through
the motherboard to the processor. Like the chassis of a car.
Processor: The brain, part of your brain that lets you be quick at subjects like math and science.
Hard drive (HDD): Part of the brain that lets you remember and hold things, holds all information.
Floppy Drive (FDD): For removable storage, like a hard drive but removable and smaller.
CD-Rom Drive: Like a hard drive but you cant write to it, unless you have a CD-RW. CD-Rom drives include CD-ROM, CD-RW (copier),
DVD Player, and DVD copier.
RAM: Holds the processors, information for it, RAM is processors filing cabinet.
Sound card: Outputs sound to your speakers like a persons voice box, and inputs sound from a MIC like your ears.
Video Card: Puts out video from your computer.
Modem: Lets you connect to the World Wide Web.
NIC: Lets you connect to other computers in a Network.
Raid: Lets you take CD-ROMs and hard drives out and put them back in without having to shut down the computer. Ideal for servers.
Server: A computer that holds information for others either on the internet on on a network to access its files.
