I have no idea how this happened!  I took her and Hailey out to play tonight and noticed that she was holding her tail up when she was gliding more than normal.  She was fine last night.  When she would let me pet her I noticed what seemed to be a kink in her tail.  When I compared it to Hailey it was terrible.   I called my vet at home at 12:00 and he said to confine her tonight and bring her in at 8 tomorrow.  Now she and Hailey are very sad and are barking away and won't let me near them.  I am so sad and feel like the worse mom out there.  What can i do, if anything, until tomorrow to make them feel better.  They have never been apart and this is hard on all of us.

ok, well I couldn't keep them apart. It was tearing me up to hear them bark and it was a different, lonely type of bark. They didn't play at all. As soon as Keira was in the cage, Hailey helped her in the sleeping pouch. I put a grape in there and Hailey gave it to Keira . Once Keira was eating then Hailey would too. Hailey is watching her very closley.

I just got back from the vet. He is worried that she will chew her tail off. He gave her some sort of pain killer and said that she can not play for 2 weeks . He also said that I shouldn't have the girls together. I explaned that the take care of each other and that I will watch them to make sure that Hailey doesn't hurt Keira. He said that she should be ok in 2 weeks but that the tail will always be bent because he can not set it. Luckly there was no blood. according to the vet he could not wrap it or anything for fear that she would start to chew and never stop!

She is doing about the same. She doesn't seem to notice that her tail is broken, and that is a good sign.  Hailey and Keira don't really play right now and take care of each other quite a bit.

Just wanted to say that Keira is doing well .iIt has been a week and she doesn't seem to be bothered by it. We have started to resume "out of cage" playtime. We are starting with short peroids of time. I kept the girls together the whole time and won't pay more attention to one than the other.
