Introduction
Keeney AstroResearch is a private organization primarily dealing with the "Search For Extraterrestrial Intelligence." Our Microwave SETI program consists of a systematic search approach which we have designated "Project Millennium Dawn." We employ Drift Scan and Target Star searches in the 1.4-1.6 GHz microwave band using two types of radio astronomy telescopes - Helix and Parabolic. Our digital signal processing equipment computes FFT (fast fourier transform) in order to alert us of potential artificial signals among the cosmic background noise. It is our hope that someday we receive signals from within our galaxy that prove the existence of intelligent extraterrestrial life. We will finally have proof that "We Are Not Alone!!!" Keeney AstroResearch is presently concentrating on Microwave SETI. In the near future, we will be investigating Long-Delayed Radio Echoes. Optical SETI (OSETI) Research will commence in June 2002. Planet Earth is a mediocre planet, orbiting a mediocre star, situated in a mediocre solar system, in a mediocre spiral arm of a very mediocre galaxy. It is the height of human arrogance to believe that we are the only "intelligent" life in the universe. It is the dawning of the new millennium. The "SEARCH" for our galactic neighbors is on!
Data Collection & Analysis
Keeney AstroResearch technicians scan all of the data collected from our radiotelescopes in real-time mode and tape delay mode. Screening consists of watching for "patterns" in the FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) of the collected data over time. We use spectrogram analysis with various software programs and are searching for verifiable "hits" which indicate extraterrestrial origin. SETI Protocols are strictly enforced by Keeney AstroResearch personnel. Data generated from Project Millennium Dawn is available for download on the Keeney AstroResearch MSN® Community Website. Search results are presented in Microsoft Excel 97® spreadsheets (/data_files) and Microsoft .wav® (sound) format (/sound_ files).
