The main function of this section involves all aspects of rating in general, which
includes local tax being imposed on property ownership to cover the costs of services
provided by the Local Authorities.
Activities
Among the main activities of the Valuation Section are as outlined below:
(a) The gazzettal of the local authorities' Valuation Lists, Rates Order and Variation to
the Valuation Lists.
(b) Endorsement of the State and Federal Government's list of properties in relation to
their Contribution in Lieu Of Rates.
