We forsake God in our hearts when our bodies are afflicted with infection.
But do we ever thank him for creating the antibiotics that make us well again?
We are thankful when God brings the beauty of Spring,
But do we thank Him when He waters the flowers?
Or do we grumble about the inconvenience of the "bad" weather?
We curse God for terminal diseases,
But do we ever thank him for the doctors he provides?
Do we thank him when he releases our loved ones from their pain,
Or do we curse him for allowing them to hurt in the first place?
When a child is hit by a car while chasing a stray ball,
Does she say:
"I disobeyed, and my parents sent a car to hit me?"
Or does she say: "Mommy warned me I would get hurt
If I chased my ball into the street, I did not listen, and sure enough, I got hurt! I am sorry I did not listen to you, Mommy."
We demand to know why God allows pain and suffering and death in the world
But how many of us stop to realize God sent His son to suffer on Calvary's tree
So that we would not have to suffer eternally?
How many of us remember? How many of us know?
If you think you are suffering now, just wait until eternity!
The Lord will wipe away our tears on that day, and there will be no more death, suffering and pain, when we call on His name.
